    Tired of eggs!

    Hello!

I am on day 10 of the VLCD and so far my weight loss has beed good. I am down 10.2 lbs. For the first 8 days I stuck to 1 egg +2 egg whites twice a day as I don't like cottage cheese at all. Yesterday I made my eggs and could not eat more than 2 bites! I read that lots of people use meat substitutes so yesterday I had veggie meat crumbles with some seasoning and lettuce. Today my weight stayed the exact same. 0 weight loss. Should I start drinking a protein shake as 1 meal to get more protein? Should I switch back to just eggs? Help!

You could try protein shakes. Just make sure they are low calorie, high protein and low carb and they don't have sugar added but Stevia. Lifetime's Life Basics protein shakes are good.

Do you eat seafood? How about dairy products? You can have greek yogurt, I put raspberries and stevia in it, so yummy. You can tweek almost any recipe with a meat subsitute. Just keep reading on this vegetarian forum and you'll get plenty of ideas.

IF you already eating some eggs white which is a good source of proteins , then why you need to drink some protein shakes too ? Keep eating eggs if will provide required proteins to your body and your body will also stay energetic ..

I hear you! I am so tired of eggs myself, but I had my last drops yesterday and only have two more days of VLCD after today. What I did for my protein: have eggs for lunch, 1 whole and 3 eggwhites, and Quorn product for dinner, they make "chicken cutlets" and "meatballs" and they don't taste too bad. You can try soy based products, like boca patties or gardein, but soy made me gain, so I stayed away from it. Protein shakes brands that are really good are Jay Robb and SunWarrior.
Dr Simeons protocol suggests not to have the same protein for lunch and dinner.
    Good luck!

Egg yolk is a great source of protein. But, it has a lot of heat (energy) in it that should be
    digested properly.
Excessive use can disturb the working of the stomach.
