I just tried plain pea powder for the first time today because thats what most a reccomending. I added a bit of stevia, and a few blueberries because i was out of strawberries. It was soooo gross. I hope it taste better when i can add strawberries. I really like the fact that it has like 10 more grams of protein per scoop than the other one i was using. i think i wasnt getting enough protein before

Yeah I can't imagine what the plain flavor tastes like!! But today was my vlcd1 and the vanilla OL pea even with cinnamon and apple I suddenly don't find it appealing anymore! But I really liked it last time! Idk what 's wrong with me now!!!
I gotta get another kind tomorrow. Maybe I can try the chocolate, even though it's a bit more caloric.

I use Whey Protein Isolate by NOW Sports and buy it online at Amazon. The ingredients are whey protein isolate and soy lecithin and that's it. I figure the soy lecithin is okay since Melba toast has it, too.

I blend it with strawberries or orange juice and ice. I stopped it for a while because I had stopped losing but I'm not really sure what the reason was I had stopped losing. I need something to alternate with egg whites!

Just a thought about mixing with the orange juice, maybe u stopped losei g because the juice is pure sugar.. Natural sugar, but still.
I started to juice a while back after watching the documentary SICK, FAT AND NEARLY DEAD ( I think that's the name of it ??)
And I remember something about how juice's micro nutrients getting absorbed so fast. And that's good for somethings in some circumstances. But in this case on this diet we'd rather a slow release into our system to stay satiated. And we def don't want so much sugar floating around!!
I think that the strawberries have less sugar and fiber and so they're more filling than orange juice.

Yesterday I was really naughty!! I ate 4 large donuts!!!
So up a pound today! And it's only VLCD 3!!!!!

But I got the OL Pea protein in chocolate cas I quess I got tired of the vanilla that worked perfectly last time! But this one has more carbs and I think a few more cals. But I'll try it this week and let u know.

I liked the vanilla op pea cas it's really low in cal 105, 2-3 sugars, and hardly any carbs. And it was great mixed with apple or strawberries.
I don't know what the chocolate will taste like mixed w fruit. So that's kinda a con. But maybe it'll taste good enough w/o fruit and I can save those cals?...

But, i love the convenience of shakes. I don't know how else I'd be able to do this w/o them.

@esme, you know that we all sometimes stall or gain for no fault. And especially later in the protocol. We just keep on keeping on and it finally works it self out.

    Hi,

I'm just starting and will try BioChem Whey Protein. You can get it at Sprouts and have seen it at Rite-Aid in California.

EAS Carb Advantage at Raplhs or CVS premade shakes are really tasty if you put them in the freezer for like 10 minutes. 110 calories no sugar and 17g protein.
