The weekend was a challenge as I went to a funeral with catered food (Mexican - I ate shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and a bottle of water!) then a family brunch at the country club (buffet style, I ate grapefruit, coffee, cucumber water and an egg white omelet w/spinach and tomatoes) So, eating 'out' was tough. UGH up +0.8 so I'm doing apple day today to see if I can reset my body. I do think the egg white omelet I ordered yesterday (made with 1 Tbl BUTTER even after I asked for absolutely no butter or oil, THX) hurt me today with a slight gain. Hello Monday! I'm fine with it since the waitress told me afterwards so I expected a gain today but I'm just sick of the back and forth for these same two lbs these past few days. So I'm counting on my little red apples to do their magic. Hope y'all all have better news today! Stick with it!! Kat

Kat, what day are you on? I felt almost bi-polar the first two weeks. Seriously. It was so hard. But once I hit about day 14 and started really being able to tell a difference in my appearance and the way my clothes fit it helped tremendously even though I mostly only see decimals on the scale. So keep hanging in there! You are over halfway to your goal, that is amazing!

And I meant to tell you, my good friend that lost close to 70 pounds with hcg a couple of years ago and has kept it off often did a steak day in P2. She actually said she did one whenever she didn't see at least a .5 loss. Now, that's not really in the protocol at all, but it obviously worked for her. She didn't do butter or oil, she either grilled or "fried" it in water/vinegar. She said she did a big steak day, too. Not sure I could pull off an apple day as I have a high protein need, but I could possibly do a steak day.

    Hi all --

Kat, you are at about the point in your round where people usually stall, and bounce up and down the same pound for a few days -- ride it out, and it will eventually break, I promise Maybe the apple day will work for you - I haven't had any luck with them myself.

Mothering -- here is how I do the chocolate egg thing -- take 1 egg and two egg whites (I use the eggbeaters) beat together. Add a tiny splash (like 1 tsp) of cream and beat well -- then add cocoa powder to taste (I use a lot). Sweeten to taste with vanilla stevia . Microwave for about 1 minute 30 seconds until light and fluffy. I add strawberries and walden farms chocolate syrup as a topping.

I am addicted to this for breakfast -- it's one protein and one fruit serving (and is a little rogue because of the cream, but I can't get the cocoa to mix in without it.)

I'm off the scale right now due to TOM -- I'll weigh again in a few days. Sticking to plan in the mean time, though And, one of my smallest pairs of jeans fit comfortably today, even with TOM, so that is a great thing.

I hope my second bottle of hcg gets here before the first runs out -- I really don't want to interrupt the round if I don't have to!

I also have had a bit of success with a mock steak day in P2 I eat celery for lunch and then the big steak and tomato for supper AND lotsa water............. the next morning I usually see at least a 2# loss............ BUT sometimes the
following day I see an up of about 1# but if I eat really clean and lean that next day I do see the scale go back down
i also am a big meat eater so even though I Love apples the Apple day does not work for me
I have tried it twice and no or very little results and they next day from an apple day I most often have saw an up in the scale................ All of us are different so ya just need to give each a try and see what results ya end up with..

Hi everyone! Well the bloody apple day DID work but, man was I weak (guess I'm a protein girl too). Even with taking the Potassium and B-12. I could only get through 2 in a day, I was sick of the texture quickly. So, today, Day 15, I'm back to my Saturday weight (Day 12) with a total loss of 11.2. My brother also did a steak day in P2 and swears by it, exactly what Mothering in Grace and Alaska Ladyle says, eat a large steak, no oil, with sliced tomato and H20 for dinner. If I get frustrated again, think I'll try that over the apple as I was cranky to my hubby *it seems* while on apples n liquids. Someone suggested I might have had sugar hidden in something but whatever it is, I'm just glad to say while I can't look in the mirror and say, man I look different now, other people are noticing and my fav jeans were loose today straight from the wash. So, that's a good sign. Mini Monkey, sorry it's your TOM ... oh the joys of womanhood. Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! This year it takes on a new meaning kat

    Hi all --

Kat -- I am definitely feeling depletion setting in, which isn't fun -- it's day 15 for me today. too. I did hop on the scale, and despite TOM, I am down .4 from my last weigh in, so that's nice. Once TOM leaves, I will probably see a nice scale drop -- at least I hope so.

Supposedly my new drops either have shipped or are shipping -- I am hoping I get them before I run out -- if not, I may do a couple days of p3 between bottles. I am close to goal -- in fact, I am thinking I may be perfectly satisfied to maintain at 100 rather than 95 -- we'll see. If so, I'll still probably want to get down to 96 or so before ending the round, just so I have a little extra wiggle room. I'd rather not have to interrupt the round... just push on through it. I am close enough that I want to just get it over with...lol.

I was hungry tonight because I ate all my food early-- and actually ended up eating a little bit extra -- I think I came in around 600 or 650 calories today. Don't follow my lead -- I've always been a bit rogue, and I can't shake that tendency.

I had cottage cheese for lunch two days ago and yesterday only saw a -.1. I'm thinking the cottage cheese may not be a great idea for me. However, I am eating eggs a lot and they don't seem to have affected my losses. That is great for me as I love eggs. Boiled eggs (three whites, one whole) chopped up with a grapefruit makes for a great meal to me. I also had a Jay Robb protein shake on Saturday mixed with strawberries and spinach. Man, was that thing filling! I could only drink half and ended up making up the rest of my protein that evening with just one whole egg and one white. I had a loss the next morning, too, so I'm optimistic the shakes will work for me as well.

So....today I'm down 15lbs total! I actually weigh less than my oldest daughter now. She is beautiful and has zero weight issues, so it's okay for me to say that.
But I can't yet fit into my Fossil jeans that I got when I did Atkins so I'm going to keep pressing on. I'll be happy with 120, but 115 would be amazing!!

Just had to share my good news with those who would appreciate it.
Kat, I'm glad to hear others are noticing your weight loss. That's always great. Other than my immediate family no one has noticed mine yet. Or at least they're not saying anything.
