I had no idea about Trudeau's P1 phase until after I started, all my knowledge was from P&I, and I didn't even decide to do HCG until 2 days before I began. The lean eating and exercise (begun with a 10 day Advocare cleanse) was just a bonus, but I'm sure it had similar effect as his plan. Honestly, I still haven't read his book, but I think he's so much of an unreliable person in general that I wouldn't take his methods as 'scripture' anyhow. He has no medical or nutritional training!
Sooooo, did you have the beer or did self-control win out?

Hey there... NO... I caved. I had my beer. BUT... I still lost 1.4lbs. Maybe I would have lost a little more... maybe not. Who knows. I think that's pretty good though

Your pics are awesome! Love to see before/after shots. Thanks so much for sharing them. Hate the tops of my arms. Can't wait for them to improve and now that I'm feeling better... I need to start focusing on my weights and core work out (love the big ball!).

Great group here. So glad you started this!

Echo - Thanks for the milk tip ...That's awesome that you still lost so much after having a beer!! What kind was it? Did you feel tipsy? I heard that small amount of alcohol goes a longer way (which makes sense). I am a LOVER of beer myself but I keep telling myself that I will only drink wine once I get to P3.

Sierah - As for products I was going a little nuts myself. I did by baby oil for moisture b/c my skin gets VERY dry also...I did see somewhere about a brand called "Giovanni 50/50 shampoo" sold at Target and picked that up. I use Clinique deoderant and I doubt it has oil but I read that you can use crystal or gel. I stocked up on Ivory bar soap too since it's cheap and on protocol.

Also...WW is def. the way to go! I had lost 65 lbs and kept if off for about 3 years before it started creeping back up again. I am also a leader for WW although I do not currently have a meeting (I did for about a year and a half). I was embarrassed to go this route however try as I might I couldn't shake the weight and couldn't stand to see the scale slowly creeping up again! Not only that but I donated all my "bigger' clothes and would have been forced to go buy new clothes which is when I realized this cannot wait any longer. I am hoping to get to 125 (I'm only 5'3") this round but it may be a stretch since I would need to drop another 24lbs or so...

Just had the lemon "slushie" and it was pretty good - hit the spot for my normal 3-4pm "need sweets" craving. Oh, I bought a thing of Johnson and Johnson baby lotion to replace my regular lotion for now and its surprisingly nice and moisturizing - Igot the oatmeal one which has a nice sent (not of oatmeal though!!).

Glad everyone was entertained/encouraged by the pics! Those were my original 'goal' jeans, my brother had given them to me but they were too small, so I held on to them, determined they would fit at some point. Today is the first day I've worn them in about a year (the holidays were bad for me last year, lol, way too much yumminess and laziness).
I'm at close to the same point as those after pictures, give or take 3 pounds. My stomach looks MUCH flatter than that though, that's due to the HCG! You'll totally see it in my after pics (2 weeks or so from now).

I've been doing pretty well so far making and being around food that I can't eat (breakfast, lunch and dinner for the kids, and dinner for hubby) but right now was rough. My daughter wanted queso for a snack, and that was painful to look away from, lol. It smelled amazing!!! I walked away, and am now eating my apple.

I've heard some say that cutting out the melbas will help with cravings. I personally really LIKE crunchy salty things, (and carbs!) so it's not my first choice, but I'm trying it today. I want to see MORE results and hope this will get me there. So far, so good.

I finally went to the drugstore for a moisturizer. The oil-free Alba was $19 for 3 oz, but they had a Merlot moisturizer that looks like all the ingredients are safe, which was 4.5oz for $15. I'll keep checking around to make sure it's okay. The clerk said she has used this for 2 years and LOVES it. Here it is, I need to find out if any of those ingredients are bad.

@MellyEmmy: for the ticker, just click on it, it will take you to the link where you can make your own (pick your design too!) and input your info, for free. I've seen people use them for 2 or 3 different websites. Then, after you make it, copy and paste the 'bbcode' at the end, into your signature field on your profile. Hope that makes sense. If not, if you search 'signature ticker' in the forum, someone else might have a better way to phrase it.
Also, I got the Bragg's yesterday too, now you made me anxious to try it!

@StephE: I'm the same way about my goal. 150 would be my 'wedding day' weight, pre-babies, 9 years ago. It was a healthy 8/10. I was 140-145 before that for years though, so hubby thinks I should'nt cut myself short, so I might go past the 23 days until I get to where I want to stop. Keeping there with 1200-1400 calories and exercise shouldn't be a problem then. I actually used to be lean and 'thin' as an early adult. I was skinny in teens and college, but I was an athlete. I was 127 then. I'm 5'8", so that was a 4/6. I don't intend to do that again.

Here is wedding weight (145ish, 2002, probably size 8.)

Yes, you are allowed to mention that my hubby is hot, though he has aged in 9 years too! lol

and this is before that, 1999, probably 120 pounds. I think this is just too skinny for a 35yo woman, and I would have NO clothing. Except that hat, I can still wear that hat. LOL!

That's 'high school skinny', which isn't realistic or healthy for me, right now. I like food too much to torture myself to be a 4 again! lol!

    @veronicalodge, WELCOME!

Okay, Okay, I've blabbed on long enough. lol!

    Sierah:

Great pics and hot hubby!!! ha!

So we are about the same size - I'm 5'8.5 and started at 171.5. My goal is 140 but I think I would be happy with 145 and probably 150. I'm much older than you (46). Ironically, I was close to 130 before my daughter was born when I was 33 (seems sort of unbelievable now how I could pack all of this on). Had been skinny, struggled with weight in my 20's until about 29 and then it wasn't an issue until my late 30's. I just want to feel good about myself in clothes (and preferably out of them), feel healthy, have energy and be able to have some treats every now and then when I'm done with this. Not a lot to ask, right??

Thanks for the ticker info, I will check that out now. Off to have my yummy fruit for the evening!!! (does that sound positive because I would prefer my glass of wine instead!!!!)

Yeah, you did it! I actually started P2 at 168, and on day 7 I'm down to 162. The first 10 pounds was last month on my own. I'm 5'8.5 too!
