Oooohhhh, Vicki! Sorry you are not feeling well. That must have been some strong virus... Glad your son is better ...hope you are too, by the time you read this.

    HELP

My first week back on the drops and I only lost 1.4lb. Now I know why that is...because I haven't been able to stop cheating...WTH????? Could this have something to do with not loading? I'm hungry and the cravings are getting the better of me. I didn't have any of this in R1. Do I do a planned interruption (read about it but I don't know exactly what it is) and then restart with loading (I don't want to gain more weight than I have)? I'm on a nasty roller coaster and I know that I could have done better...argh!

I need some help and suggestions

Senior member advice to Swabby for P3 gains

I thought there could be some advice for us in here too!

    From mgonsdance (sp?)
    - if you haven't had a decent BM, that could be your entire problem on the scale. take something to fix that, and see where you are.*
    - you're seriously deficient in veggies; at the very least, you should be having a huge salad at one of your meals, and a large portion of veggies at another. not only will that help to fill you up, but the fiber will help get you regular. it wouldn't hurt to throw one low-sugar fruit in there, too.*
    - you are adding whipped cream why?? if you're doing that to add calories, skip it.*
    - RELAX. many people stabilize 3 or 4# up, so as long as you don't go any higher i wouldn't stress over it
    - if you have inflammation going on (gout) your body will retain water which will increase your weight
    - try not to eat under 1000 calories in a day; that's too low for you
    - cut back on your water, especially when you're retaining fluids. 2-3 liters a day is plenty for you.*
    - the green tea is fine- that's not going to make you gain
    - pork is fine, but something fairly lean like pork chops. bacon is almost pure fat, and it can also make you retain water
    - definitely NO pork rinds of any other processed food like that- they have no nutritional value
    - if you're sworn off red meat because of the scale, add it back in- it's not your problem
    - eat plenty of chicken, turkey and fish. make sure you're eating enough protein. take your weight x .37- that is roughly how many grams of protein you need (minimum)
    - salt is ok as long as it's consistent
    - nuts, eggs and dairy can be problems in terms of a possible sensitivity. except for butter, cut those out for now.*
    - p3 advice from the forum has become very perverted, imo- due to those who push a very high-fat diet. you should be eating plenty of protein, LOTS of veggies and salads, minimal to moderate fat, and possibly one low-sugar fruit. no eggs/dairy/nuts until you're stable. once stable, add 3-4 eggs per day for a couple of day (taking something else out, so it's not an increase in calories) and see what happens to your weight. if your weight goes up, take them out and let it come back down before testing dairy. greek yogurt and cheese are good for that trial, since they are very concentrated dairy sources. even if you don't react to dairy, be fairly cautious with it because dairy is calorie dense (especially cheese).

Cheryl, so sorry you are having trouble. Maybe check w Grammy? Could it be a dosing issue? Are you doing injections? Drops?

You are still losing and are so close to goal. I read that your hunger could return if your body has no more fat to shed or decides it's done! Could that be it?

First off...did I mention I love you my body still has fat to shed. I have been following the 800 protocol not the original so there are variations. I'm doing the drops and I take 10drops/ 3x/day. The only thing that I did different was loading for 2 days. This time I didn't and I wonder if that is it. Subconsciously, maybe I am still in the loading phase. I know that my drops have potency still because I have the same side effects that I had in the beginning.

My first round I lost 16.6 in 21 days and actually stabilized 1.4 below LDW. Just prior to starting the drops again, I had gone out for lunch, dinner that night and then back out for lunch the next day. Those gains added up to 3 over my LDW. I'm holding steady above that. On my drops, it says to do the 10 drop 3x or 6drops 6x/day. I have adjusted my goal so that I can hopefully attain it. I will see how the week progresses..maybe its all about the routine (which I was out of this weekend).

Thank you for your suggestions. If changing up the drops doesn't help, would you suggest a planned interruption?

    Advice from Grammy

Hi Cheryl... Stop stressing please... I know its hard not to and I am needing to take the same advice...I made bad choices for the last 2 days ...acted like I was on P 3 but I am still in that 72 hour window... Here's the damage. Day 1 +1.4, Day 2 + 2.6, total gain of 4 lbs in 2 days!!!! I know this is not possible and probably from poor food choices like diet cocoa and cheese so I need to go back to clean p2 food choices and move on. I looked for recent posts from Grammy and 4 my blessings who has a lot of tips from correction days. She is back on for another round. I think I posted a link to her thread about losing 10 lbs in between rounds. So here is Grammy's timely advice for both of us.
    From Grammy:
Here's what happens a lot. Margie and I both noticed it a lot over the years. Most of the time things that happen with stalls, weight loss, etc, dieters assume it's because of something they did. So we see detox baths, miracle omelets, etc and really, those losses would have happened anyway. At the end of the round, when you've tried some of those things in one round and not in the other round, the losses at the end are just the same. So it's best to NOT STRESS. Stress is the one thing that can slow you down. Realize that fluctuations happen. You won't lose every day and some days you'll be delighted with a big whoosh. And everyone has a weak moment at some time in their round. It's not fatal if you just get back in the saddle and keep going. Those 2-3 pounds from a cheat will drop right back off because it's just water. That's why I usually say don't mess with an interruption for a couple of days off protocol. You lose more time by doing an interruption than just by doing the best you can and letting the weight drop right back off. No one actually gains 2-3 pounds of FAT in a day. Just like we really don't lose 2-3 pounds of fat on the first day of the diet. Much of that is water weigh which accounts for the stalls later as your body catches up.

Like I said, just relax, kids. I hate to see so much angst over a momentary weakness when it's all going to be all right in the end. Draw back and get a little perspective.

    Morning,
Well the scale went down this morning (-.7) so I'll take it! I'm glad that the weekend is over so I can get back to my routine. thank you for your help and suggestions. I think it was partially due to how easy and smoothly R1 went and this time I may actually have to work a bit at it

    Back in the saddle again,

    Happy thin Tuesday!

It is so hard not cheating b/c all I want to do is eat- not bad stuff even, just more protein and veggies (and fat). I am trying so hard to just think about how this is only 6 weeks out of my whole life where I have to eat 500 calories and then I can go back to the P3/P4 eating that I was happy on- and in a smaller size and at a lower weight. Life is stressful now (work, home, kids etc..) and it seems like the dieting takes all my energy and focus and then I am just irritable with anything else. the only positive thing now is fitting into a size 10 again. I can't wait for this P2 to be over in 4 more weeks. If all goes as planned, after this round, I will only have about 15-20 more pounds to lose and hope I can get there with intermittent protein days rather than a third round. but I am not sure how likely that will be...
    sorry for the long rant/vent~
    Sharon

I escaped the bug, only had some nausea that went away with eating . Unfortunate for me, i made some not so good choices for eating. So for my travel home today I decided to make it a steak day so when I step on the scale tomorrow morning (have not done so since Saturday morning) it won't be that bad, I hope.
Hope u all r doing well.
Taking it one day at a time
