    Houston HCG Group

    Hi,

Starting a new group for Houstonians. The goal is the sharing of information, ideas, recipes, and especially support during the course our HCG journeys.

About myself: haven't officially begun my journey yet. I am waiting for delivery of my HCG and hope to have it within a week. Reading as much as I can right now on this subject...

I Live in NW Houston...work in The Woodlands. We are transplants to Texas. I moved here four years ago from the great white north (Michigan) and love it. Should have moved a long time ago.

We are empty-nesters And enjoying it (subject to change, of course!). Our other house mates are an energetic Jack Russell and one very loud Siamese cat.

Hope to hear from others soon

    Hello fellow Houstonian!! YAY

Well I am on day 27 of P2 of my first round and I have to admit that it has been an amazing experience so far. You really learn a lot about your eating habits and how your body reacts to different foods and different situations.

I'm using HHCG and have had great success in my eyes.

I live in the Clear Lake area and work 7 minutes from home. It makes lunch easy as I can go home and eat on protocol...

Looking forward to sharing, venting, supporting and enjoying our conversations!!

Starting weight 193.5 (load day 1)
Load day 2: 192.5 (here we go again... eat like a pig and lose..lol)
    VLCD1: 192.5
    VLCD4: 185.5

    Hi Dawn and Becky,

I am on VLCD14 and things are going well - so far I have lost 12.9 lbs, and have become scale obsessed. I am taking injections that I get through a clinic. My goal is to lose 40 pounds, so I may go longer than the 40 day protocol. I live in the Heights and work in West Houston, so I have to bring my lunch everyday. I am really enjoying the weight loss, and am now will actually feel comfortable sharing my thoughts on a thread. Normally I am just a lurker.

    Hi Alicia!!

Glad you decided to join us!!!

I lurk a lot too.. learn a lot that way.. hahahaha

My overall goal is to lose 60lbs which means there will be a couple of rounds for me... but that's ok.. I'm ready, willing and I know I'm definitely ABLE!!

Bringing your lunch does make life easier.... but sometimes you get caught in the "wanting" to go out and eat with friends. I've done it and succeeded so I know it's possible! Just have to be specific about what you are ordering and they will make it for you.

Hmmm I need one of those tickers.... LOL

    Hello Alicia!

Once I get started on the protocol I will be packing my lunches too. Really, I don't go out for lunch very often anyway. Generally, I prefer real food leftovers to frozen meals.

My current weight is around 164 lbs. My goal is to lose 15-20 lbs. When I moved here four years ago, 144 was my HIGH end weight. Menopause, hypothyroidism, and a pretty sedentary job (executive assistant) are factors in the creeping up of my weight. Well, of course dietary factors also played their part - darn weekend margaritas!

DH and I purchased some HHCG drops in January. I lost 10lbs on 8 days but was starving the entire time. Lasted only two weeks. The odd thing is our friends have used the same drops with great success (60+ lbs lost) and controllable hunger. Maybe I just wasn't prepared enough? I was not aware of forums such as these, which are a wealth of info.

Will be doing injections when I start later this month. I will surely have questions when the time comes...

Dawn - I thought about injections but decided to try the HHCG first. I have found that if you change your dosage with the HHCG just like with the injections it helps to control the hunger. If there is too much HHCG in your system it will cause you to be hungry besides at your normal eating times.

DH is doing the diet with me and for once I have exceeded his loss.. but that's because he has "slipped" a couple of times. I was surprised to find that my will power is stronger than his... but thankful all the same! hahaha

    Hi Gals,

I live in west Houston and work close by.

I am on R1/P2/VLCD19. My scale says I am down 18lbs., but the clinic scale always says I weigh more (possibly due to additional clothing). I too have become scale obsessed, but I attempt to limit myself to once a day.

I have ~70lbs. to lose and have lost and gained back the same amount 3 times in my lifetime (I am 30 yrs). Because of the rapid flux, I never tell people how much I weigh/lose. I live in constant fear that if I tell someone how much I have lost, they will know how much I weigh when I gain it all back. Strange psychological hang-up, I know... Anyway, I am hoping that hCG ends my continuous weightloss struggle.

Dawn, I too struggle with a hypothyroid, possibly from crash diets in the past. Maybe this will help reset our metabolic level?

I am excited to be on this diet. I have big plans for my skinny self!

    Hi Kristi and Lindsay,

By the way, I have a daughter who also is a LindsayC (24 yrs old). Hope my results will be as good as everyone else has accomplished.

Kristi, thyroid issues run heavily in my paternal side of the family. I've been on meds for over a decade now. We have hypo, hyper, Hashimotos, goiters, and thyroid cancer all in the last two generations. My meds have been reduced over the years, currently on 88 mcg Synthroid and 5 Cytomel.

So glad others are joining this thread! Hope I don't drive you all crazy with questions is the next few weeks.
