I really do love IF'ing for keeping at my goal weight. I honestly don't know where I'd be if I hadn't stumbled on it (when I was researching "steak days"). I have a feeling the weight would have slowly crept back as well. Yup, I do my fasts on Mondays & Thursdays. Zero food/calories Sunday 5pm - Monday 5pm. Same schedule from Wednesday - Thursday. Sometimes I switch it up and start my fast as early as 3 or 4pm. Just depends. I also have begun not eating until noon'ish on most other non fasting days. Mainly because I realize I don't really need to eat that early! Might as well save the calories, right?. This schedule has really freed up my life in so many ways. Simplified, I like to call it .

To answer your question regarding intermittent fasting while in P2. No way, Ducky!!!! You really need those 500 calories per day on HCG. I think if you fasted the deficit would cost you dearly. Nope, stick to protocol & you will know you have Eat Stop Eat in your back pocket for P4. Even if you didn't get those 25 pounds off in your R2, you can easily get there by IF'ing or choose to just maintain. It's totally tweak able.

    Good luck to ya!

    Erin,

I am so glad I happened upon your reference to Pilon's book. I won't do it during p2 but will in p4. Many times I have found it easier to eat nothing all day than to eat low cal. I really have to especially watch the carbs. They tend to trigger cravings/hunger. Did you stumble on your ifing schedule or did I miss it in his book? To clarify, your should really help to prevent waking up during the night with hunger and being sleep deprived the next day. Ugh. I am not a breakfast eater so I may go for eating later in the day too. First to get through a long p2 though.

How great that you can get upnorth all winter. Great memory making for the kids! We aren't winterized plus our drive through the UP is 11-12 hours from our home in Grand Rapids. In all these years I have never been up there in the winter. We had planned to go up for our first foray Memorial Day weekend, but now our son is getting married then in Jamaica (whoohoo!). So, we wil have to wait a bit. BTW. what is your fav restaraunt up there? For the first time last summer we went to a Fri nite fish fry at a great resort near Eagle River. Don't remember the name of the place but we will definitely go next year. It was a buffet. Thats enough talk on the delish food while I am on p2 and its nearly time for dinner!!

So glad you still are active on this thread to encourage the rest of us

    Blessings!

Hey again! As far as my IF'ing schedule...Brad does suggest it in his bloggs and newsletters. Those I seem to get since I purchased the Eat Stop Eat book. I wonder if you can find his bloggs on his website though? hmmm. I have also seen that schedule just by reading other's posts in websites like: Mark's Daily Apple, The retired Dieter, Lean Gains, and so on. I do a lot of googling IF'ing. This schedule is just what seems to work for me. I can't believe how much I have learned about myself through both HCG & then IF'ing. I still can't believe life and food used to be so confusing to me! Now...I can just LIVE!

Hey! Jamaica sounds really great about now! So jealous!!! 11-12hours? Wow. I thought I had it rough with our 6 hour drive! Our favorite restaurants are Little Bohemia in Manitowish Waters. And SkyView in PresQuille. If you go to either, make sure to email and see if we are there! I would love to meet a fellow HCG'er!

    Good morning

upnorthmom - don't think I could do the IF sadly. I'm one of those extremely hungry people, like need to eat within less then an hour of waking or I go absolutely crazy. Glad it is working so well for you though! I do fairly well with maintenance as long as I watch myself. I maintained my weight between 130 and 135 for three years. Of course pregnancy ruined that LOL! Hence why I have to lose the weight again

Had a nice 1.4 loss on the scale this morning! Week 6 is shaping up well so far I'm doing an extra long round, almost 60 days because of my weight loss competition at work. I worked it out and if I keep losing at my average of .62 pounds I will be within two pounds of my goal weight by the end! Which will be a whopping 20% of my body weight!!!

I was going to do a PI but I think I am deciding against it. I'm too close!

Hope the scale treats everyone well this morning!

Hello - I have a question and your thread caught my attention. I am P2 day 19 Simeons protocol begin under a doctors care doing the injections. I am following the program to the letter and done pretty good. Started at 170. and now at 158. my goal is 145. I signed up for the 26 day at the time thinking that would be all I need to do but looks like not the case. My question is how do you decide 26 or 40 days meaning if I am close at the end of the 26 days should I stop or go onto the 40 days when may not need all of the 40 days to complete goal? Can you stop when you reach it and go into p3 or do you for sure do the total of 40 days? I hope this makes sense - I WAS so hoping for the 26 day plan I am really ready for a change in food a little more variety. Do most people typically lose a little more during p3 and then balance out?

I would go ahead and do the 40. Or u could do 30 if you've lost all your weight by then. I think the most important for stabilizing is that you go at least 26 days but after that I think you are safe to move on when u get to goal. Hope that helps!

Hi everyone! I've been reading for a while but now I'm finally ready to join in. I can't complain about the weight loss, so far I've lost 10 lbs in a week. However yesterday I was extremely busy doing heavy housework and yardwork. Today I woke up incredibly sore, weak, dizzy and lightheaded. I'm also quite nausiated. I don't thin

If I am going to do anything ehavy duty I usually have another half serving of protein just before, either in shake or just a 50g peice of breast meat, it helps.

    AFM:
I dont update much on the weekends becuase my tablet is a little hard to type on, but here back at work i am happy to report i am down another 2.1 since friday! This rounds losses have been great! I did cheat pretty bad yesterday. I went to my favorite place called off the grill which is a great place to eat out on HCG everything is fresh and they wont cook it in oil if you ask so its perfect, but i did have their island chips ( fried plantain chips) and the dopping sauce ( which is basically mayo, garlic and other herbs) but zomg is was so good.... It hasnt shown up on the scale yet but i know it will. Its only a matter of time i guess.

Congrats to those who have lost, hugs to those who need em, have a great day everyone!

I'm curious to know how your body reacted to the fried plantain chips. Also the name of the restaurant is called "Off the Grill"? If so I'm definitely going to have to try to find one.

I really miss going out to eat. Anyone else find any restaurants you can order food at? I live just outside of Austin and we have SO many restaurants but I really can't think of anywhere I can go and actually get something decent that's diet friendly. I get so tired of cooking.

Well the plantain chips have had me at a stall, but Im just glad i didnt gain!

As far as other restaurants, you can always ask for things that are grilled and ask for no oil, it should be hcg friendly then =]
