I hear ya on not wanting other people to know about the protocol! However, for the short amount of time you're doing this, would it be worth it to follow protocol and say you're just trying to eat healthier/not feeling well/mind your own business?JK on the last part obviously. Or eat high protein, no carb? There are always plenty of options, even if you just take the cheat and cut your losses! Do what you need to do, and we'll be here to support you.
Edited to add: Did you name yourself after a cat? Or a Goddess? Both? I love Amelia Peabody.
Hi all,
I'm Karen, 52 yrs old, starting at 274#, and will be doing 150iu sq injections. Plan to do 40 injections on the skip-one-day a week plan, so P1 - P3 will take 49 days. I have all my supplies, except the hCG. Not-so-patiently awaiting it's arrival, so hope to be a part of this group very soon.
This is my 1st time trying hCG, but I have lost this weight numerous times. The last time, I went from 310 to 178 following a low carb diet in 07-08, but then menopause hit and I couldn't stop the regain the past 4 years. Nothing I tried worked. But around 6 months ago I began hrt to address my whack hormones, and I think it's taken that long for them to get me to the point where I can lose again. I've managed to lose 16 pounds in the month of January. So now that I finally got the scale moving in the right direction again, I'm especially excited to see the rapid losses I'm hoping the hCG will bring.
I'm also diabetic, and am interested to see how much this will improve my blood sugars.
Hoping to connect with other women of similar size and health issues... let's buddy up! Good luck to all.
Good Morning All and welcome Karen! I am new to this as well and have been on the injections starting 1/31. I am down 8.2 in a week. I started with .125 and was starving the first 5 days of the injections so my doctor increased to .150 which has helped a lot. She also has me on a 28 day detox program with vitamin B12 drops. I feel really good on this and have been losing between .5 and 1 pound each day until this morning. I was up .2 and totally freaked out. I have a call into her to see what is up. I checked my food log and have been eating the same stuff for over a week now with no variation. The only thing different was I added 1/4 cup of fire roasted tomatoes to my fish. They only had 2 grams of sugar and I counted them into my food log. I had it the day before when I lost 3/4 of a pound and then yesterday a lunch. I could understand a stall but it's a bit early for that. Plus forr some strange reason I had that starving feeling again yesterday even though I ended my day at 475 calories. Has anyone else seen a small gain like this? Any advice?
First of all, see if you can relax. Stress is no good. If your Dr. is ok with it, you might try skipping an injection. This is what one of the moderators suggests. If you are MORE hungry when you skip, your dose might still be a little low. If you're hunger lessens that day, then you might be taking just a little bit too much. Again, I don't want to get between you and your Dr., but some people have to adjust their dose just right. This round I am taking 175 i.u. and a skip day (skip injection, but continue low calorie diet.) Skipping is also recommended if you're doing a longer round. This seems to work very well for me. Just keep an eye on how you're feeling without getting all "up in your grill" when it's not going perfectly. Hope you get this resolved soon!
So, I haven't been on in a few days because I've been slammed at work. I finished my loading perios and today is my second day in phase 2. I gained 3 lbs during the load but lost 3.2 on my first day on the VLSD so I'm pretty hopeful. I hope everyone else is having good results!
