I for one can't see why losing on P3 is BAD per se. Is loss not the goal here??

As of today, I have official lost 10 kilos (pr 22 pounds). I'm feeling pretty good about that. Had a B'day dinner out with friends last night. Had steak with salad. No beer/wine. Boring, but I am down .2 kilos today, so I'll take it.

Everyone sounds like they are moving along well. YAY!

I am semi-excited about P3 and when I do round 2, to use patches. These drops are not my friend, really. I keep forgetting them.

I plan to do low carb too, I love the Atkins plan, my skin does well on it too, carbs hate me!
I too love(d) Atkins...then after baby #2 it just wasn't working. Although, maybe I wasn't doing it as strict as I should have been. Now, with being so restricted with hcg, I find it easy to eat low carb (like phase 1 atkins) and relish every moment of it! lol. Maybe I will try cycling with this and hcg - it is all an experiment at this point! lol

My son gave me some more weightloss advice on Saturday...."mommy mommy, if you want to lose weight ALL you need to do is drink a lot of green tea"...ok where did you find out about that? "the Tv" This kid is a walking weight loss informercial - and so far it seems takes after my husband so he will never EVER have to follow any of this advice - on only have an AFTER pic.

    Lol
It was nice though that both my son and husband told me I was getting skinny!

I feel the same - it is just that there are some really strict protocal people on the forum that would argue P3 is for stabalizing - lol. I can have a lifetime to stabablize!

Great Job on the 10Kilos - that is awesome

Woo hooo! 10 kgs is awesome photofrog! All that willpower is really paying off for you.
Lexi - I think I love your son, so cute! You can join the ranks of us with maddingly skinny husband, we hate ours too.
Juniper - congrats on the 8s! Isn't that the absolute best feeling! It is where you really feel your efforts paying off even more than seeing those scale numbers drop. The smaller size actually MEANs something concrete!

I have tried Atkins in the past, but reality for me is that I am just not that much of a meat eater and I really don't like heavy or fatty foods. The problem with Atkins is that it was so restrictive even on veggies, I am planning on eating my hearts content of them during the next 3 weeks and hope that it doesn't cause me any problems. I will also probably stick with mostly lean cuts of meat.

Like previously said, I think that I may have problems eating all I have planned. Funny, I should have the hcg mostly out of my system now (last drops - and a small dose at that because I was running out- was Saturday morning) and I am not super hungry while doing VLCD still. Guess that is a good thing maybe. I guess we shouldn't torment you guys with talk of our P3 foods anyway. We'll all be there soon enough!

WELL DONE JUNIPER!! SIZE 8! WOW!

I get that P3 is for stablising and all that but I'll be more worried if I GAIN rather than lose.

I'm just hoping my body kicks it into high gear for the last week of this Round so I can get under my 100kg goal.

I'm also slightly annoyed that after losing 10kilos, no one seems to notice. I must have been HUGE. I shouldn't care but I do.

I'm wearing a skirt I have not worn in ages. While it is a stretchy skirt, I had stretched it to the point of breaking. Now, it's snug (ish) but I can easily do up the buttons.

Moya: that is interesting. I am wondering how hungry I will be. I want to keep my portions under control while enjoying what I eat at the same time. Enjoy your P3 foods!!!!

Photofrog - nobody noticed my losses until just recently either so I totally feel your pain!!! Also people might notice but won't say anything especially guys because they don't want to get in trouble lol!! For me it was a little more in the forefront cause of the work competition so lots of people are talking about it anyway.

Will post more in a bit when I'm at work

On Sunday I went to lunch with my husbands entire family (so probably 12 folks) and nobody noticed a damn thing. I was so proud of myself in my skinny jeans and nobody at all said anything. For them, they are just infuriatingly polite so maybe they did and just didn't say anything.

My people at work, on the other hand, half of who "know", and half of who prefer just to gossip without asking, are really being quite annoying. One person is running around telling everybody I must be developing an eating disorder (keep in mind that I still have plenty of meat on my bones, still a BMI of about 22), and another told me in a very concerned voice, isn't it time that I stopped. This was Friday when I had every intention of stopping today. Those two think that I am doing a 30 day detox of sorts, but it's annoying.

Today was up a teeny bit to 130.5, so .3 over my "real" ldw and 1.7 over the ldw I wanted (but am seeing probably not a good idea). Ready for day 1 of P3 and I am quite quite nervous considering I have been putting on some ounces while off the hcg but still on the VLCD. This will be interesting, fingers crossed I stabalize ok. I am going to stick with mostly P2 foods, just in higher quantities and with some added fat. Wish me luck all.

    Have a happy Tuesday!

Moya - You'll do fine! Are you one of those people who fluctuate more naturally? I'm not, except when it comes to water retention, but that usually only rears up during TOM and I don't count it anyway. The weight you are at is very respectable And people don't know when to keep their mouths shut! Except for your hubby's family of course LOL! Weight is a touchy subject (even losing it) so most people just steer clear of it either way to avoid uncomfortableness (I might have just made up that word heehee!)

Lexi - Hahaha about your son! That is sooo cute! My daughter told me I was getting skinny and that made me happy. We had a little "fashion show" at kohls and when I told her something wasn't the right size she was like "yes it is, you're skinny now mom!" I must admit I like these comments a lot better then when a weight loss commercial came on she would say "mom you should get that!".

AFM - down .4 this morning. Happy with that. I am kind of nervous about my PI but I'm going to try and take it easy. But since I had cheese on Saturday and it didn't really affect me while still on the HCG I don't think it will affect me off of it. So that is a damn good thing! Really the only things I want to add are olive oil, cheese and eggs. And some off protocol veggies, but really don't think those are going to hurt. Like brocoli, cauliflower, zucchini, summer squash etc. I am going to try and keep the meat lean but just extra portions of it to up my calorie count. It seems like it is going to be so hard to even get to 1200 calories after doing the 500 for so long! I'm sure once the HCG is out of my system it will be easier. I have a hard time getting up to 500 most days (unless of course I drink )

I did pretty well with the patches....but who knows...

Today we went and played Whirlyball at lunch (with my work) and I was so thankful that my weight is down some....I felt very comfortable playing and didn't get out of breath...and I fit fine in the car (there were some others that didn't). I remember going 5 years ago and I was at my heaviest (had my first son and was not able to lose the weight yet - like the situation I'm in now - note to self "no more kids") and I was so uncomfortable.

My only concern was that they had Pizza and salad for lunch. I grabbed a bunch of salad (and put some dressing on it that didn't taste sweet -it was called caesar) and I had the tops of 2 small slices of pizza (cheese and pepperoni). I am wondering in that cheese will do me in...maybe too much sodium. We will see tomorrow...god knows I was ok with the pork rinds.

That is the only issue with the hcg diet for me....not being able to go out to eat. It is working this year only because my husband and I are on such different schedules because of his nursing program. Otherwise it would be difficult.

    Have a good day ladies...
Thank you! And oh whirly ball sounds fun! What a great way to get some exercise. Glad to hear you were able to keep up.

Ahhh Lexi - i am so excited that somebody is in P3 because I am scared shitless. You are doing just great! I especially love how happy you sound to be able to eat more stuff! And the fact that you are still losing while you are at it is so encouraging. I posted this in another thread, but maybe you have some insight too. After 30 days of so much structure I am panicked that I will screw it all up when left to my own choices. So here is what I am planning for tomorrow, tell me if this is about how you started:
    Breakfast:
Coffee with heavy whipping cream (oh my god, it is going to be like heaven)
Eggs scrambled with some onions, mushrooms, peppers and coconut oil

    Lunch
Big A** Salad with all of my vegetables mixed together like a salad is meant to be, top with grilled chicken or something, then have REAL salad dressing

    Dinner
This sea bass recipe that I have been adapting for P2, but have been dying for the real thing. Basically just pan seared (with real butter!) with a fennel, tomato, spinach, and splash of white wine broth. Maybe even have a glass of wine with it too.

I am not planning on any snacks, but maybe I will have the cinnamon apples or some strawberries (best thing about this diet is realizing how much I love both of those things and make a much more satisfying snack then chips)

That should get me plenty of calories, plenty of protein, and some fats too, all without adding anything crazy (except for eggs). I wanted to add cheese either to the eggs or salad (or both) but think I'll wait a few days. What do you think?

skinnycow - I ended up lowering my dose of hcg with no ill affects.

My update, my 120s were short lived, went right back up to 130.4 this AM, so maybe I best keep my LDW at 130.2 like I was supposed to. Oh well, it gave me the chance to have a glimpse at that scale for a fleeting moment and see something I haven't seen in so many years!
Thanks, I think I'll stretch my doses the next round. Your meal sounds so yummy! yesterday I was dreaming of strawberries and whip cream, can't wait for p3 (but I have 4 weeks to go).

Be careful with your "Real" salad dressing...just keep it on the side....as I have found that foods high in fat (like ranch etc) don't taste as great to me. So for a salad I was dipping my fork in the dressing like every 2 or 3 bites instead of drowning my whole plate like before. Now I can really taste the fat - it is odd. Any how...I am also really enjoying goat cheese and feta. I read this thing about what you are supposed to eat for your blood type and it said I could easily digest and lose weight on goat cheese, feta and moderate mozzarella. I have also had half n half too - oh and some sf jello with whip cream.

To be honest, I am suprised at how well I have done not snacking. Before hcg I was binging like a mofo, and just couldn't get enough. Now, I eat my meals and all is well. I think it is still really important to have an idea of what your menu will be. I will still grill up some chicken breasts for the week, or make some meatloaf to store in the freezer....just to have this on hand. I find instead of snacking I will have a cup of tea or coffee.
I've noticed how many times I go for a snack every day. Out of habit I'll walk to the fridge or cupboard to grab something, I have to stop myself of course since I'm in p2. But all that mindless muching probably put 5 lbs on me that I'm working to take off now. Your comment about snacking made me think of that. I can't even say I'm a grazer since I would snack all day but still have big meals...oh I shouldn't wonder why I gained my weight back.

I think some people just don't know if they should say anything when they see a weight loss. Don't you hate the gossiping, sorry you are dealing that with the co-workers.

AFM - having a good weight loss. I'm down 1.2 lbs from yesterday...woohoo...I'm amazed at these losses. Tomorrow will mark my one week in p2 so sure that will probably mean losses will slow but hoping later then sooner.

My new favorite meal is seasoned hamburger wrapped in lettuce...sounds boring but it's really yummy. I use lots of cayenne, jalepeno pepper, garlic, chile powder and a touch of salt to season it. Pretty yummy. I noticed in last round that I do better on beef then I do on chicken so I allow myself beef once a day (and I don't even monitor the fat...hopefully this won't catch up to me but has been good so far and put my losses into overdrive on round 1).

    Hope all is well!
