    Hi guys! I am just starting out too. I am on VLCD 7 and had to jump in because I am a heavy drinker as well. Microbrew is my downfall. I have not been hungry at all this week but I am so bored and in need of support too! I guess I don't notice the boredom when I have a beer in my hand. I went as far as to wander through Michaels trying to find a project, unfortunately, I am not creative either so I am stalking the forum. My post load weight was 160, I am down 8 so far to 152.

    This is my second attempt on HCG. I successfully lost from 158 to 128 my last round (ended December 2011), gaining the weight back was completely my fault. I did not bother with phase 3 and little by little I increased to 160 again. I miss wearing all the cute clothes I got to purchase.

    Mmmm....microbrews. I am finding beer hard to give up too. It's summer here in Aus and I BBQ a lot and always have a beer in hand.

    I'm not creative or crafty either but I can spend HOURS online, so this place has been a godsend for me!

    Welcome bonnie! I've done two crafty things in my life. I did a decoupage bowl for a friend a few years ago and this past holiday I made picture frame leash holders for two friends. I'm not crafty either. I shouldn't be allowed to own a hot glue gun. I'm sure my girl kitty would appreciate that after her first experience with me using one.
    My 6 days of not drinking went to shit yesterday. I met up with one of my boys and we spent a few hours drinking Mimosas. He is always a bad influence on me and I told him I couldn't hang out with him until my bday celebration next month. I had a hard time with my first load day. I'm not a big eater. I'm going to try to do better today. I know it's important for this diet.

    Sounds like we are all in the same boat! I am usually extremely active too which is probably adding to the whole bored thing. I know from experience that excercise and HCG do not mix - the hunger will get out of hand quickly. I feel as if I am becoming one with the couch and actually looking forward to going to work today!

    Shoeaddict - Mimosas sound fantastic, forget about it and get back to it today, it will be worth it!

    The scale registered -1 today. That's a solid -9 for the first week! How did everyone else do?

    Hi All! A fellow drinker here too, although my drink of choice is wine. I swear that if I had just cut that out I probably would have lost weight, but instead decided to get "drastic" with this diet, I probably have a few bad habits that I need to kick anyway. A friend did it and had good success. I did the loading on Friday and Saturday, started the VLCD yesterday. So far so good. I am still up 0.5 pounds from the loading but expect that this will be gone soon enough. So, socially I am planning on laying low to resist the tempations of going out (although I do have a girls weekend planned right in the middle). I trust that i will spend a lot of time on the internet and watching TV so am looking forward to spending time here for support.

    I had heard that about the exercise thing, but good to get confirmation. I like to exercise too, but guess I need to hold off for now. shucks. Maybe I could get by with just walking.

    I read somewhere that 30mins of walking a day was ok, just nothing too strenuous.

    Moya: I love my wine too and I am sure if I could have willingly gave up booze, I'd have been better off too. I have a 'work meeting' this Friday where we will discuss work for about 10 mins and then head to the pub. Oh lordy. I am worried.

    My scale read -1.2 kilos this AM so I am trying REALLY hard to continue that downward motion.

    Off to the movies. I have never gone to the movies without popcorn. This will be a real challenge for me!!

    Photofrog - I just looked up Kilos (pathetic right) great job, keep up the good work, that kind of weight loss will keep you motivated to not have popcorn tonight!

    Walking is supposed to be fine on the diet, I have been debating on walking too. When I ran into trouble with hunger I was trying to jog 3 miles as per usual. I can still remember my daughter coaxing me on - "just a little" more and I was dying! I have a nasty habit of being an all or nothing kind of girl.

    I think I failed at doing my load days. My weight this morning was only 139.6. That's only up .2 from yesterday. Today is my VLCD. I did indulge last night and had a shot of Jameson and 4 beers. yummy. No more booze until Feb. 18th.

    @shoe addict

    I too failed at loading I only gained .2 and I enjoyed whipped cream flavored pinnacle on my loading days (fellow drinker in the house lol). Yesterday was my first VLCD day an I woke up this morning with a .2 gain (really confused but whatever) with this diet I have realized that whatever the scale says you have to keep going. How's Everyone else doing on this wonderful morning ?
