MCT Oil w/ Cucumbers & Onions

One of my staple foods is a bowl of cucumbers & sweet onions sliced up in a mixture of lemon juice, cider vinegar, spices, Stevia, and MCT oil. I LOVE it and it is so delicious and gives me something to chomp on. I'm on day 28 of the LCD and I'm down 18.8lbs so I'm pleased with my results. It'll definitely stay a staple in my refrigerator.

First time hearing of CO to help break a stall...

As I'm about to finish R1 P2, I'm sad to see I missed out on this topic in my prior research.

The question of the day for me is ... what is chocolate delight? I'm trying VERY hard to lose 5 lbs in my last week and am willing to try anything to get to that goal of 30 lbs!

    Thanks

I have been an avid coconut oil user for about 4 years. I love it. I even have capsules to take.

HOWEVER, I'm committed to getting releasing fat from my body, and I believe Simeons when he says NO OILS. So, I use no oils in cooking, eating, or on my skin. BECAUSE Simon Says no.

I'm not in this to do research or to experiment on the many various ways to break The Protocol and show how smart I am because I know better than Simeons. I'm not trying to write a book saying Simeons was wrong. I have one reason to do all this -- to release as much as I can release. (OMG, I'm such a pathetic person trying hard to be a "good girl!" after a lifetime of being naughty!)

Even with that conviction, I have gone off-program because of events etc., and I know that it is always likely that I will release less weight than I might have had I stayed ON-program.

Having said all that, I can hardly wait to finish P2 (I added on weeks because I haven't reached my goal yet) and get back to coconut oil, salmon and all sorts of good foods that I miss dearly.

@ Pincess, i just wanna thank you for sharing this and other info about the different *brands* of vanilla & CO, ect... because i would have no.idea. what to buy otherwise! i've gone through this whole thread and written down EVERYTHING you've said on my grocery list!!! I'm a terrible cook and need all the ideas i can get!!!
so, thanks a lot. and i wish there was a way to follow you, like on twitter LOL
I'm wishing you tons of success!

    XOXO, shannon

    Starting R2 load 2/3/12!!
this is my 2nd attempt at the protocol. i did a pitiful excuse of a R1 2 months ago. i managed to lose 10-11 lbs (15 if included 5 lbs of load weight) in the first 21 days of 42 injection days. after the 21 days i stayed on the shots but not the diet. since then the weight stayed off- thankfully!!! but i still have more to go!

    @ Kelrivas,
Awesome post!! very well stated. puts it in better perspective for me, since i didn't realize
"CO =speeds up metabolism = weight-loss" but...."resting hypothalamus = a nice and fresh reset metabolism"= the whole point of this protocol!
That new metabolism later on facilitates further losses and/or stabilized weight loss...
And great point that it may be something to consider if you do have a lot to lose and want to kinda speed that along in the beginning but not in the later stages!!

    interesting! thanks, shannon

That's great! How did you prepare this using coconut oil and after that week, did you continue to use the oil?

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

I've been on a 4 day stall, so I decided to try the coconut oil to break it the stall. I melted like half a teaspoon of the oil and added cocoa powder, cream vanilla stevia drops, cinammon and dipped my melba toast in it. Put sliced strawberries on top and it was to die for!!! Then I fried my talapia with extra virgin coconut oil after spraying it with Braggs Amino Acid and sprinkling some garlic powder. Best Talapia I've had! This morning I lost 1.6 broke my stall!!!

I believe it would have broken anyway, Marita. Hopefully it won't make you stall now. Stalls are normal but we attribute things that we eat or don't eat to the cause or ending of a stall. I did that myself in early rounds until I saw the rhythm of stalls and losses with the protocol

I adore coconut oil and use more of it than you can imagine--but only after P2. I gain from using coconut oil on my SKIN in P2. Many hcg doctors believe any oil derails the hormonal pathway to the hypothalamus and that's why Dr. Simeon was such a stickler on it, even to banning it on the skin which of course seems strange to us. From seeing what I've seen on the forum in the past 3 years, I believe it too. The ones who do best at stabilizing seem to be those who are very strict on the protocol and who do longer rounds.

Thanks Grammy for your input! That makes so much sense. In the last couple of rounds the stalls did break because I remained consistent & stuck to the protocol. I've never cheated before, but this time I was at the end of my round and very frustrated. Very small & slow progress and then major stall. It turns out I've been very close to my ideal weight and that was part of it. Our bodies DO speak to us!!! Just hit my ideal weight and starting P3 today, so cocoa crack here I come!!

Ok, after reading this thread, I decided to try CO for one day and only one tsp for one meal. I have not been stalling, but I just wanted to try it. I lost 1.5 pounds overnight and I haven't lost that much in one day in about a month. I am happy with the loss. I will probably only try this once a week, so that I do not mess up my stabalization in phase 3. I only have 3 weeks to go, so my losses are slowing and any large losses are great. One thing I noticed though, I was starving after I ate the CO. I cooked my chicken in it, and probably didn't even end up eating a half tsp. I was starving all night after eating it. Wonder why?
