that's also why people have to be very careful if they're on meds for high blood pressure. they generally have to reduce them during P2, or even stop taking them completely. and although 105/65 is fine for BP, it's the change that screws you up- if that was what your BP normally was, you wouldn't have trouble with postural hypotension.

That's exactly right. I was used to running higher and when it suddenly dropped it took my body awhile to recover. Once I crossed into Phase 3 (both rounds) it went away. My current pressure (standing) is 103/64 with a pulse of 70.

    Glad I found this thread.

I had a scary incident today. I'm on hhcg drops and have been doing 12 drops 3x a day. I'm on VCLD4. I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and found out today that this causes low blood pressure and hcg also causes low blood pressure. I took my cortisol supplment today but I also had fruit only in the morning and don't know if it caused me to crash. I am not aware that I suffer from low blood sugar and don't know if this is the same as low blood pressure. I also have had issues where I needed potasssium in the past. I had to do something at the time so I took another potassium supplement (I had already had my potassium supp and a multi-vitamin with lunch) and then I made a make-shift sports drink with a bit of baking soda, salt, a bit of honey, squeezed an orange and added this to water. I then took a straight half-teaspoon of honey. I feel much better now. My hands have warmed back up, the circulation feels like it's normalizing, and I feel a little more normal...one weird thing, I seem to be a bit sensitive to light.

Any thoughts on what I should do moving forward? Right now I plan to keep up my cortisol supps and take 2 potassium supplements a day and maybe increase my salt intake and use regular salt? Any advice would be welcome as I was a bit shaken today.

    Thank you!! Claire

Be careful with potassium supplements, too much can hurt you. What are the instructions that came with them? I would not exceed the recommended dose. Use sea salt, but don't overdo it with that either. Low blood pressure is not the same as low blood sugar, and neither of them is the same as a nutrient deficiency. All of these can be a concern with hcg. It's known to lower blood pressure, it's not unheard of for people to experience low blood sugar, and your vital nutrients can wash out due to excessive water intake.

I didn't stay on the HCG after I continued to have the dizzyness and I am starting back on it today, and saw this post from before and thought I would share my experience for others. I ended up at the DR's because it would not go away even after I got off the drops. so figred something was going on. I was so amazed one trip to a rehabilitation clinic, a 10 - 20 minute maneuver, and it was gone, they said it was a definite case of veritgo, I did ask if he thought the HCG could be the culprit, and he said he wouldn't think so, and it may have just been a coincidnce that the dizzyness came on at the same time. Never the less I was afraid to start the diet again but now I have decided that since it was the only thing that worked for me in years I was going to try it again. I think that since there is 40 days in Lent this was the perfect time to start, I will keep you posted if I experience dizzy spells again
    Good luck to you all
Hope to drop 30 lbs by Easter.

Thanks for this thread. I experienced dizziness today. I have a low blood pressure typically, though without symptoms, it just seems normal for me. I will take some B-complex. I am already taking vit. D3 and minerals.

Sometimes the dizziness is a need for some potassium too. We can drink TOO much water and flush out electrolytes. Try some extra salt, Mrs, and some potassium.

Yes, thanks! I posted in another thread that I just realized that I had not added any salt to my water lately. I always add 1/4 tsp Real Salt to 2 quarts... So that must be it. There is potassium in my minerals but I think that I need to take those 3x a day, and I have only been taking once. Woops :-)
