Hucog was definitely the problem for me

I decided to only do 19 days of P3 and jump right back into P2 and give cycling a try but this first week on Novarel has been heaven! Seriously I have zero hunger and could go all day without eating. I also went back to IM shots at 150IU's and it seems to be working out great.

No idea what the issue with me and Hucog was but wow was that the most miserable round I have ever had. 34 days of pure hell actually.

Glad you found the trick. I thought hucog was the Indian equivalent to Novarel... where did you purchase this one from?

I was worried my first week on hucog, but seem to have found a good dose for me at 175iu. Now if I could just get out of this dang long seesaw with the scale.

yay!!!! I'm so glad you're doing well. There are a couple of people that are having hunger regardless of what dose they're on..and they're using hucog as well.

I've heard that too, robbi....and it makes me wonder if there is a bad lot number of hucog out there or something....it does happen.

I've used hucog for all my rounds and not had a problem....but sometimes in the hospital we get a bad lot number of a particular medication, and it doesn't work worth sh#t then.

Hi i am doing Hucog injections this time. Into the fat in the stomach. Not IM. So i am curious does it make a diff? Also I am having a bit of hunger, I started with 175 iu load day one through VLCD 2. Yesterday was VLCD 3 and I upped my dose to 200iu to see if it helped, couldnt tell a diff yesterday but did 200iu again today and i think its better. I still feel hungry for the most part, but not starving! I am also wondering if this is just the normal 5-7 days they say it may take. Last round i did Hucog also except i did it sublingually. I think i was holding it too long under the tounge b/c i never took care of the hunger last round..... Any thoughts?

Barb.... I've been worried that they've changed their recipe so to speak. I've asked about expiration dates and so far haven't seen a pattern.

Yeah Hucog is supposed to be the generic to Novarel but I have no idea why it didn't work for me. Even when I did my first round of IVF I used a generic brand of one of the stimulation drugs and didn't have any issues at all.

I got the Novarel from scouring the infertility boards and looking for people selling their IVF meds. It is a 10,000IU bottle though so I prefilled all the syringes and then froze them. I just grab one each morning to thaw out and haven't had any issues with that. I was really worried about freezing them but so far so good.

Wow have I really gone rogue with all cycling and freezing. LOL! I won't be cycling again though, I enjoy P3 way to much to cut that short and I just liked the break. This round will last 30 days and I will go into P3 right before I go to LA for 5 days. I have done enough P3's that I am not really worried about doing P3 while on vacation.

I think we need to start looking at lot numbers. Those are listed along with the expiration dates. If they change their recipe, it couldn't be labelled as 5000 or 2000 iu....etc....unless they change what is mixed with it.....now that's a possibility.

Mine is A11510010 if someone wants it. Expires on 5/12 and was manufactured on 6/10. I ordered 10 vials and went through 4 of them trying different things to get my hunger under control. I have 6 vials left over and they are all the same lot number but I don't know if the first 4 were the same. I am just assuming they were the same as the other 6 that I have left.

ETA: I did want to say that I did test mine on a pregnancy test and it turned positive faster than anything. Not sure if that matters but wanted to add that in in case it did.

This is interesting, my last round I used HUCOG, couldn't find my sweet spot. And this round I switched midstream to do subling using the rest of my HUCOG. And again I am having issues like last time. UGG, I didn't have these issues with HHCG until the bottle went bad. Might be something there.
