    My HCG Journey.....

Hello All! Here are my stats:
    Height: 5'3 1/2
Weight: 162.4 after loading for 2 days
Goal: 140lb (would LOVE to be 130)

Yesterday was my first day of the VLCD. I followed protocol all day and did really well. I LOVE Coke Zero, and thought that would be a huge issue, but drinking green tea saved me. I did get REALLY hungry around 8pm. Could it be the 50 million food commercials I saw while watching TV with my hubby?

Luckily for me, my Hubby is on this program with me . He is trying to loose 30 to 35 lbs. He did well yesterday too.

This morning we weighed in and he lost 6 lb!!!!! I lost 3 lb!!

As I write this, my stomach is GROWLING! I have read that the first 3 to 5 days you may feel very hungry. Any thoughts on this? I hope the HCG kicks in and helps me out with the stomach growling ASAP.

This forum is great...so many questions and so many answers. The "experts" on this forum are great too. Our Dr had originally given us a PX for 200iu per day for me and 1000iu a day for my hubby! Crazy HUH!!!! I posted that and very quickly one of the "experts" told me to change the dose and add 4x's the bac water so our solution wouldn't be to potent.

    Have a great day!

Hi, me and my fiance started the diet yesterday too! I was down 2 pounds from yesterday. I am 163.8 and want to get to 140 by March 4th. I am having my tonsils out on 3/5/12 Neither of us has been hungry, I think the hard part will be no alcohol for the next month.

Hi girls! My VLCD1 was yesterday too! I am from FL, and on the 40 cycle from a dr. I weighed in at 158 after loading, and am 5'1. I followed protocol to a T yesterday too, but I was so friggin' hungry I thought I would die, lol. I made it without cheating though, although I went to bed at 8:30 because I couldn't take the hungry feeling anymore. I weighed in this morning at 154! Today seems to be a little better, hunger wise. Any of you guys getting headaches? I sure am... its weird what I miss the most is my lipgloss!! My lips are so friggin dry. And coffee with CREAM...

Maybe more February loaders will join this discussion and we can all go through it together.

Congrats on your loss! Sounds like we have similar weight/goals. I wish you all of the luck in the world. I will miss my drink for sure!!

Congrats on your loss too! I LOVE LIP GLOSS and forgot yesterday that I couldn't wear it. I am a makeup artist and am slightly worried about applying makeup and handling it. No headaches which is AMAZING! I suffer from migraines. I believe the "organic" way of living and the green tea have helped me not to get headaches. Normally, if I don't have a Coke Zero or Diet Coke by 10 am and 1pm I will have a BAD headache. Thank goodness for organic coffee and green tea!! I haven't been as hungry today, but hopefully tomorrow will be even easier.

Today is VLCD 3. I woke up to a 1.6 lb loss this morning. Already looking for new ways to cook up things on the protocol. I found the recipe section on this forum to be GREAT. Last night my hubby and I had cod...with lemon juice and fresh dill baked in foil over greens. It was really good. Tonight we are going to try lean ground beef with onions and tomatoes with spices added over greens for a nice "taco salad".

I still feel hungry. I have been drinking a lot of water (about 120 oz) and a large glass of green tea in the afternoon. I have to eat fruit around 10am, or I feel a bit whoozy. Around 12 or 1 I am dying for lunch, 4pm I am ready for a melba. We usually eat dinner around 7. I then eat strawberries around 8:30 or 9. Wondering if you are feeling the same hunger

Wow your food schedule sounds just like mine, all the way down to the strawberries at 8:30 (have you tried them dipped in a little "Stevia in the Raw"- soooo good!). Last night I had Mahi cooked with Emeril's seafood seasoning, garlic and lemon. It was delish.
And YES, YES, YES I am feeling the hunger... Maybe it will get better like they say in a day or two... Lord, I hope so. If not I might just rob a Burger King. Kidding Or maybe I'm not, since I have been waiting for 3 LONG years for them to have the Italian Chicken Sandwich back, and lo-and-behold they started on on MONDAY, my VLCD1. Oh the irony....

Ouch, Pelzman - tonsils out the day after you finish P2? I am just a newbie to this, but I would think that it might make P3 very, very difficult. Both my kids (ages 23 and 18) had theirs out this fall, and it was a LONG 8 days after surgery for both of them to be able to get any sort of substantial food down. Those first 10 days, they ate a lot of mac and cheese, lots of cream soups, ice cream, yogurt. But barely any protein that didn't come from dairy. No veggies, no fruits. Just dairy and carbs, really. And they surely didn't get over 600 calories a day, either.

And they had easy recoveries, compared to many adults who have tonsillectomies.

Have you started working on a P3 "plan"?

(Hope this isn't too much of a downer post, but I have read a lot about dieters who go into P3 and throw their whole system out of whack by not doing a good P3 round, and they gain like crazy. )
    Start Date R1/ P1: 01/29/2012
    VLC#1: 1/31/2012
Start weight: 161.4 End load 164.2
    VLCW1: - 10.4 VLCW2: -4.6 VLCW3: -1.0 VLCW4.75: -3.4 VLCW5: -3.6 VLCW6: -4.4
    Total Lost: 27.4
    LIW 136.8
    VLC1-3: +.2 P3W1: +2.6 P3W2: -2.4 P3W4: +1.8

That would be my luck too! I am a bit of a fast food junkie, so this is hard for me. Tonight we had taco salad and I made shrimp gumbo (water, tomatoes, some spices and lemon juice) for tomorrows lunch. I have to say....the taco salad was a very satisfying meal. My hubby thought so too.

Hope you have a great evening, and hope tomorrow is better for both of us hunger wise.
