Way to go, girls! Yep, it is amazing how enthusiastic we can be about this when we have a good loss! It definitely keeps the momentum going (I want to do that again, so I am not going to eat that melba!).

My supplier told me to start at 200, and Grammy told me to start at 150 and see what happened. I even dropped further to about 130; it seems strange to take less to get a stronger effect, but that is what happens!
    Start Date R1/ P1: 01/29/2012

I decided to do a "skip day" and stick to the 500 cal diet. I was LESS hungry with no shot than with my daily shot. I had to force myself to eat at my regualr times. So I reduced my dosage from 200 to 150. I feel like a new person. Because of me eating off regiment while my body was freakin out I didnt lose for 2 days. But I didnt gain either. Woke up to a 1lb loss today . I am at 8lbs in 7 days. Go us!!
8lb in 7 days! That is wonderful. Congrats!!! My Dr wrote the px for me to do 200 to, but one of the moderators said that was TOO much to start with. I am so glad you got all straigtened out. I am going to have a party when I get into the 140's. Good luch on your goals! Keep in touch.

VLCD9....and only a .2 loss this morning. One thing I've noticed with this diet vs others is that small losses are hard to take. If I truly think about it 9.6 lb in 8 days is amazing. But when you are used to waking up to .8 to 1.4losses the .2 seems like a disappointment. I need to remind myself of this today so I continue on my journey of success. I skipped one fruit yesterday, had a strawberry smoothie with stevia, frozen strawberries and ice. That was a new treat. I hope it didn't slow me down because it was delicious! I had chicken and celery with melba for lunch and my favorite steak with spicy Mexican sauce for dinner wrapped in lettuce with one Melba toast.

Well here is to a better day tomorrow....
By the way....how hard is it to not eat chocolate on Valentines Day?!?!?!

VLCD9 for me too. -1 loss today, whoo hoo! KCW, I know what you mean about the low loss days. I think we NEED to see that scale drop to be able to stay on such a restrictive diet. My scale didnt drop for two days, I literally could have cried. But keep truckin', girlie, you are doing GREAT! Oh man do I know what you mean about chocolate on valentines day. Not to mention my office (where there is hardly EVER free food) is completely stocked with cupcakes, cookies, brownies, the works! I cant even walk in the kitchen anymore... Not to mention GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE OUT RIGHT NOW!!!! Gahhhhhhhhhhhhh! What I wouldn't do for a Somoa or Thin Mint (or 10, lol). Plus, my very favorite fast food sandwich that I have been waiting 3 years for is back, The Italian Chicken Sandwich at BK. I have decided February is officially the hardest month for me to diet...

Congrats on the loss! I bet it was hard not seeing the scale move for two days. Thank you for the encouragement.....I needed it . Oh girl scout cookies! Luckily I don't work in an office anymore....I can only imagine how challenging that would be. And the BK thing is not fair!!! I love fast food....lol. Good luck to you today!

VLCD10 today. Woke up to another .2 loss.....ugh. I just remembered something and I'd love some others opinions on this. Like many of us, I have yo yo'd through the years. EVERY TIME I get to 151 I stall. Doesn't matter what kind of diet I'm on...working out...low fat...etc. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess it makes me feel better because I feel like there is a reason for my low losses the last two days.

I have never been a big dieter, so I can't speak to that. But I do know about 5 years ago I floated betwen 135 and 140, and did great. Crept up to 150 in 2-3 years and was there around 150 for a year or so. Then a really rapid 15 pound gain. I gained 1.2 to register 150.2 today, and I would be crushed to think I was "supposed" to stay there.
