    what other foods are allowed? I've seen recipes that include chicken broth and amino acids. I know they are not directly on the list...but I'm assuming that as long as it doesn't have sugars or starches it's ok? Oh! And what about lemon juice (that comes in a bottle)? It lists "oil of lemon" as the last ingredient...is that allowed?

    I know lemon juice is allowed, but they usually say juice of a lemon... not sure about that either, but I love lemons and usually just buy a bag of them so we always have some laying around. As for spices, any spice is ok, when you start looking at your blends of spices check the ingredients for sugar and starch bc they often add it into spice blends you wouldnt expect (like montreal steak) Mrs. Dash makes some really great blends that are sugaaar free and salt free. As for Broccoli its not on the original Dr. S protocol. I think I recall reading that the foods on the list are low in calories/ sugar but are high in fiber amino acids enzymes etc... to keep flushing the fat from your body these are the foods that do that. There are alternative food lists etc... from experience personally/ I did the HCG through a clinic first round. They had a varied food list with more veggie options, and had me drinking 3 protein drinks a day along with consuming 750 calories. I did lose weight, however I feel I would have lost MORE weight had I followed the original protocol. so here I am ready for R2 and this time Im following # and " all the way! What ever works for you! Good luck!

    I noticed that pork loin isn't listed. Has anyone had pork loin will on the HCG diet? I'm getting tired of chicken and fish.

    Can you eat Whole wheat wasa ? its some type of cracker like melba toast.

    I ate 1 slice with 2 strawberries as a snack yesterday.. is it ok to eat?

    HOw have you lost 21.4 lbs. I have done the 26 day one and mine is only 11.3 lbs. Please help..

    Hi guys, I'm new here, but ssoo excited about the HCG-- have some questions.. how many days do you get with the 2oz drops, and [I]can[I] you eat broccoli~

    OMG! Thank you for this,,,i was following a protocol that only allowed for 3oz of protein, 1 "serving" of vegetables, which I was assuming was 1 cup, so I was only eating 1 cup of lettuce, spinache, asparagus, etc,,,and was SO hungry even on day 11 of lvcd!! I have lost well- 10lbs in 12 days, but I cheated last night. I was just SO hungry and I gained .4 lbs.

    Now I wonder if my hunger has to do with not having enough vegetables. Also, I didn't know we could eat a little more vegetables at night if we were still hunger. I printed off this list and will follow this from now on.

    OK!! Is there any kind of gum i can chew! ANYTHING!! I am a gumaholic! Its killing me not to be able to chew it! PLease someone tell me i can chew something!
