Hi,
I have been lurking on this thread this week. Since you guys all helped me, I'd like to return the favour!
On Friday, I did a high protein day, no measuring, I just used the fillets as they came out of the bags:
11 a.m. 1 chichen breast fillet
1 p.m. 1 basa fillet
3 p.m. egg whites (lots)
5 p.m. shrimp with celery (sprinkled with acv and pepper)
7 p.m. 1 basa fillet with sliced cucumber (sprinkled with acv and pepper)
9 p.m. egg whites
+ lots of water and tea throughout the day!!!
I am down today 1.2 lbs on the ticker but in reality, I hadn't documented my fluctuating gain of 3.8 lbs during the week, so I wasn't just stalled but gained too... I need to mention though that I did buy a new scale this week, so that has to be factored into everything as well. However, I am still down from the highest weight on the new scale.
So in total I am actually down 5 lbs from my highest weight this week!
Thanks for the inspiration!![]()
Thanks ntg! Yes I was off![]()
I tried the 6-week makeover diet a few years ago, and although it works, I had to eat protein every couple of hours, every day. DH had to eat steak, and I had to eat chicken and fish. After about 3 days, I had had enough!!! I felt like all I was doing was cooking and eating LOL! It reminded me of breastfeeding on demand---can't do anything else LOL!
Have a great day!
I was so happy to read all your tips and advice on trying mostly protein during P2. This is an approach I can get behind. All protein has always been my go to approach for getting back on track or continuous losses. My body does best with the lowest carbs possible.
I am doing a short R2 and would like to maximize my P2 loss as I may be looking at 4 rounds or so. I am thinking the cycling w short rounds and no P4 will help me get where I wish to go by summer! Today I decided to do a combo protein day. Had a shake for BF and 1/2 steak for lunch, the other 1/2 will be for dinner. I also will try for 2 exercise sessions today as that helps me move the needle as well ....oh wait....for you youngsters who grew up in a digital world....I am referring to the scale
I will pop back on tomorrow and let you know if this worked. I used shakes (sparingly) in my last round and they didn't seem to hurt.
Next week, I may try a fff day (fat free fage). That could work too! Have any of you tried that in P2?
Mañana

Hi all!
Congrats lynwoodie! Could someone please tell me the nutrition facts for Fat-Free Fage, since we don't have it here? I buy a f-f, s-f plain greek yogurt called Liberté and would like to compare the specs...Is there any thickener in the Fage?
Thanks a bunch!
i believe the libert'e is the same as fage, im also in canada and have been using that yogourt, add some cocoa powder and stevia and its like chocolate mouse
should have no thickener in it

Ntg thanks for mentioning the choc mousse ...I did that too but used a packet of diet cocoa in p3&4. Can't do that in p2 which I am in now. But I have happily found I can eat 0% fage in p2! But i dont want to chance the diet cocoa BC it has sucralose in it...only 2 g but still ...I tried the unsw cocoa and stevia in it this am and it tastes bitter but tolerable if i dip apple slices into it.
Can u pls share how much cocoa & stevia you are using? Wld love to get this right.
Oh, almost forgot to mention, I had 2 c 0% fage, 2 apples, 2 tilapia, salad w lemon and lost 1.6! Yeah... Shd also mention I was up 1 lb the day before so probably water wt...dunno...I'll take it and get back on track!
Thanks!
