maryshady- 2 vials of 5000 for a 23-day round of SL (will actually get you 30 days). 3 vials of 2000 for 30 days of injections.

knickells- if you're going in together, i'd buy 3 vials of 5000. at a dose of 150, that will give you a total of 100 days (50 each). so that's a pretty safe bet for being enough, even if one of you needs a little higher dose. but if you want to be absolutely sure, get 4 vials.

    syringes- 1/2", 1 cc, 29 gauge at healthwarehouse.com
10 ml vials- one for each vial of hcg, at gpzservices.com
bacteriostatic water- 2 bottles at missourimedical.com
mixing needles- one for each vial of hcg at your local pharmacy (check first) in most states, OR gpz. need at least 1.5" long, which is normally 3 cc's and roughly 22-23 gauge.

hlyns- how much you use depends on how dilute you mix it. start with 150 iu's. add 10 cc's of water to your vial of 5000 (9 if it's liquid) and then dose at .30. go ahead and put your powder in the fridge now.

tressa- take a potassium/magnesium supplement. start with something that is close to 90 mg of each, twice a day.

mommie- inches are much more important than what the scale says! if you're losing inches, you're losing fat.

granto- if you're not hungry and not weak, you're probably ok, and probably able to produce what you need from those drops. but many people have trouble with them. i really don't recommend any hhcg at this point because so many are taking the hcg out of it- and you don't know how it's made.

sr- you buy the same Rx hcg and mix it for drops. one vial of 5000 iu's will be enough for 15 days. so buy 2 for a 23-30 day round, 3 for a 40-day round.

mixed- just drink a lot of water.

sweet- not familiar with that brand. the corion is a bit stronger than ovidac, so i'd go down a touch.

Today marks day 8 of absolutely no losses. I actually kinda feel like crying a bit this morning. I am so incredibly bummed. Yesterday I made peace with TOM and presumed that was the hold up. So I was thinking today something would give-but nothing. I don't even feel thin. Today is not going to be a good day.

Is it absolutely necessary to go on to Phase 3?

Hello, newbie here. I have two questions.First, I tried hhcg back in October, and lost 14 pounds. I was doing it for a trip to Vegas, but after the trip I abandoned it and gained everything back. Now I'm here and ready to do it for the long haul. I want to do 1 round of HCG to get an incredible jump start and then join Weight Watchers to keep it steady. Has anyone heard of skipping the last phases? Has anyone joined WW after doing HCG?

Secondly, I am currently on SL HCG with an rx from doctor, I took it to a compounding pharmacy who did all the mixing for me. The rx calls for 0.2 ml two times a day, I am doing this and am still incredibly hungry, especially after eating. My stomach is 'almost' growling all day long, I'm trying to psych myself out and say it's all in the head, and drink more water, but nothing helps. Any advice is surely appreciated!

    Thx for reading.

When going into Phase 3 is it ok to drink diet pop in moderation? I know to stay away from aspartame in P2, but I wasnt sure about P3 - only reason I ask is Im craving diet 7-up and chewing gum so bad.
    Thanks!

Sick&Tired - I can understand - Im almost done with Phase 2 and Ive been hunrey the whole time. Ive had good losses, but Ive been starving. Ive done WW in the past and this is my second time going HCG and in my opinion you MUST do Phase 3. I think that if you go straight into WW you will be making a huge mistake - but thats just my opinion. Phase 3 is all about staying away from starchy carbs and with WW you can eat them as long as you are within your points.
    just my 2 cents!

    hCG with previous cardiac problems

I went to see my primary care today about possibly starting hCG. He and I both have concerns because I have a past history of cardiac problems. I have a pacemaker for dropped beats (demand only), and I also have a history of atrial fibrillation and palipatations. I take Lopressor and Rythmol AS NEEDED ONLY, and generally only experience a-fib and/or palipatations once every two or three months.

Concern 1: I know that vlcd's can lead to palipatations. I'm assuming hCG is no different in that fact. But can it lead to arrythmias like atrial fibrillation? If so, I wonder if my doctor will allow me to switch my medication to daily doses instead of AS NEEDED to combat this.

Concern 2: I read something about increased risk of blood clots. I do not currently take any blood thinners, but instances of a-fib increase risk of clots. A diet that throws me into a-fib AND already has a likelihood (no matter how small) of increasing risk of formation of clots is not something for me.

Concern 2: I combat malabsorption syndrome (I do biweekly b12 injections, pre-natal chewable vitamins) so I wonder if anyone else with malabsoption syndrome has been sucessful with this diet and how they keep on top of their vitamins and minerals when normal supplements do little to no good.

I will point out that I will be doing this (if my doctor agrees) under the supervision of my primary care physician.

I'd be much obliged if anyone has further information on these concerns. My cardiologist wants me to lose 60lbs, I'd like to lose 70lbs, and this is such an attractive option. But not at the expense of my health.

Consider Magnesium Glycinate to aid with absorption of nutrients and for heart muscle support. Take a look at http://jackkruse.com/gnolls-com-open...obesity-fight/ and other posts on his blog.
Just read Weight Loss Apocalypse which gave me new resolve.
Currently getting back to the ticker weight.

you need to call the pharmacy and see how many iu's is in that .2ml. it's not unusual to be more hungry after eating. if you haven't skipped a day yet, skip a day and see if the hunger gets better or worse, then we can adjust your dose. you need to at least do P3- the 3 weeks of no sugar or starches, after the hcg. then you could go to WW if you want to.

kristin- it's not going to hurt you in terms of weight, but it's best to just say good-bye to both of them. these kinds of chemicals are part of what made you overweight to start with.

you need to fix your hunger- otherwise you're asking for trouble. if a dose adjustment does not do it, you need to increase your calories.

hex- i certainly would not do it without close medical supervision. you also might want to consider doing a modified protocol, eating 800 calories instead of 500. if you are hungry or weak while on P2 you need to made immediate changes- we can help adjust your dose, but if that does not do it you will HAVE to increase your calories. you can continue your vitamins and minerals.
