    Bell Peppers

    Okay, I love bell peppers. I admit it. But what is the protocol for bell peppers. I realize that they are not on Dr. S protocol list, but also not on his no-no list. Please someone tell me why they are not on protocol or if you have eaten them on P2 as your veggie without issue. I know the green peppers are less calories than red and I would use them (though I prefer red, yellow and orange). The peppers are high in Potassium and Magnesium - stuff I desperately need and don't absorb well from supplements (due to gastric altering).
    Round 1, Phase 2 using hHCG. Ultimate goal is 145. Starting weight at P1 was 197.

    Load Days: 10/19 and 10/20
    Post Load Weight: 197
    Day 2 P2: 194.5/-2.5
    Day 3 P2: 193/-1.5
    Day 4 P2: 190/-3
    Day 5 P2: 190/ no loss today
    Day 6 P2: 190.5/.5 gain? really? already?
    Day 7 P2: 189/-1.5
    Day 8 P2: 189/ no loss today
    Day 9 P2: 187/-2

    I personally eat them as well as red peppers and red onions. I BBQ them and they are fantastic.

    I've been eating them all along with no problem. You could try them, then wait 2-3 days and see what the scale says.
    108 days on HCG (July 15-November 1). P3 November 2-24. P4 beginning Thanksgiving Day 2010!

    Thank you. I want to but have been afraid. I seem to overeat tomatoes and it affects my weight loss. Don't want to do that with the bell peppers. . .lol.

    DR. S does not have a no-no list. Anything not on his allowed list is no-no. LOL but some people have used green peppers. I follow the protocol strictly but some can cheat and get by with it. Just so long as you are aware that it may slow or stall you so you can take corrective steps if that happens.

    Colleen: I have been trying to go strictly by protocol from Dr. S manual, but broccoli is not on his manuscript. Everyone seems to eat broccoli. I have used it, but not daily. Mostly eat tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach and cabbage. He doesn't really limit tomatoes but I think when I eat too much tomato it affects me somehow. Just trying to stay mostly on protocol and not "tweak". Your thoughts?

    I am glad to have found this posting because I was talking to my partner last night about Fajitas - chicken with some taco seasoning mix, onions and bell peppers being a good change of pace. So we will probly try this tonight or tomorrow.

    I have used bell peppers, specifically red, yellow and orange and have had tons of SUCCESS. I eat them raw, and they are crunchy and tasty. I have lost plenty of weight with them on Phase 2. Good luck!

    No, 'everyone' doesn't eat broccoli. And just to illustrate how everyone is different, broccoli makes me bloat up almost immediately after eating it. I avoided it prior to HCG, even. You probably should visit the Rogue forum group to get a broader idea of how people do when they leave the original protocol.

    I too eat green bell peppers without issues. I know it may not work for some and for some it does.
