June gave me a hard time, with my eating. I finally realized that my body was not in sync with my desires or my emotions. Once I decided to just maintain, I did well. I also (just) realized that I was within an 8 lb range (+/- 4 lbs) for the entire month of June.
That's not too shabby for an emotional eater.

Today, I saw my endocrinologist.
She's the doctor that seemed alarmed about my 35 lb weight loss in 3.5 months. Her reaction alarmed me, because it's usually pretty bad news when a doctor calls you - much less calling 4 times within 2 hours. She also insisted that I eat "regular" food including 1 slice of whole grain bread each day, until I saw the hematologist (about a very low white blood count and a very low absolute neutrophil blood count).

What a nice man the hematologist is.
He actually congratulated me on the 60 pounds I've lost since I saw him a year ago.
He said that as long as it was "intentional" then keep on doing the diet that works for me. He actually said that dieting does not cause neutropenia. He gave me his blessing to continue the diet path that works for me.

I have neutropenia, an alarmingly low white blood count of 2.0 (neutrophil, ANC=0.9), that my endocrinoligist says could definitely be from dieting.
On Wednesday, June 8, I see a hematologist.
