I am asking for a friend of mine, she is nearing her goal weight, and had been on HcG went off for her period and then stopped I think before reaching 21 days, she thought she would start up again yesterday, but had been feeling pretty crappy so after she gave herself her first injection she decided to take a dip stick pregnancy test (the medical grade type) And even though her period isnt due till Nov 30th it said POSITIVE!!! so she did like 6 more tests all said postive, she did some from the store (test) they said negative....and even today she just took a test even though it was yesterday she took one injection of 175ui HcG the pregnancy test still said postive.

This would mean these pregnancy tests are detecting pregnancy VERY early on....or could her one injection of 175 cause hcg to be present in her urine. It's been about 2.5 weeks since he period so that round of hcg she did before her period should be gone...so whats going on? Anyone else had this happen.

Or even better question, has anyone had positive pregnancy tests due to just the injections?

Any thoughts on this would be nice. She's dreading the next week or so wondering, before she either misses her next period or can take a store test.

thats right so far she taken 8 tests, all says pregnant.

Hi everyone! I am a newbie to hCG...have some friends who have had wonderful success...and so far so have I. I was wondering about going out to dinner tonight. It is a special occasion and we are going out to eat. I was thinking about what to order and suggestions...I know the obvious grilled chicken. I was really wanting a baked potato before you yell at me not the whole thing mind you. What will happen if I eat this...will I gain a bunch of weight...any advice would be great. I am craving french fries so bad so I thought at least a BP would be better. By the way I have lost 14 pounds in just under two weeks. Thanks for ther info.

Colleen, I just went to your website. I can't WAIT to read your books!!! I was really into Jodi Picoults books, but then I grew tired of her bad language so I decided to read some Christian books (Nantucket Series and starting Ladies of Liberty, etc) And your books look so great! I can't wait to read Lonestar Secrets!! Do I order directly from your website? Maybe then some of your p3 sucess will rub off on me too. I start p3 in 10 days and counting!! Wendy

p.s. If your books are as good as your mug cake sounds, I''m in.

Some recent discussions about eating sugar-free foods vs. "natural" foods on P3 has made me curious if there's any trends we can learn from here...

1. How easily did you stabilize during P3? How far off are you from your LIW?

2. Did you eat sugar-free foods with artificial sweeteners, like splenda, during P2 and/or P3? Or some other kind of sweetener, like stevia?

3. Did you make a point of eating "natural" or organic foods? Natural meaning minimally processed foods and avoiding chemicals, preservatives and artificial sweeteners.

4. Are there any other factors that you think may have affected stabilizing, like eating sugar and/or starch, adding new foods in too quickly, or food sensitivities?

I fell off the wagon last weekend and haven't been able to get back on all week. I don't know what happened. I was doing fine, but I tried a cupcake at a party last weekend and since thenI've been eating sweets like crazy. Every night I tell myself I am done, no more. And then in the morning, the craving for soda and poptarts is so bad I can't stand it. I drink some soda, eat one or two poptarts, throw the box away and swear no more. And the rest of the day I'm okay for the most part. I OD'd on pizza one night though. Ate so much I thought I would be sick. I wish I had, maybe it would have stopped me. My weight has been pretty stable, but I really want to get back on track and start losing again. I started the protocol on 10/22. I am still taking the hcg shots, and hunger doesn't seem to be the issue, just lack of willpower.

I don't know what to do, give up on the hcg for now? Keep going and trying to fight the sugar-laden demons? I was planning to do a 30-day protocal, starting P3 on Thanksgiving, round 2 on January 3 or so.

I don't want to be a weight loss failure again. Has anyone been through this? Can anyone help?

Hi everyone. I am on Day 4 of VLCD. I had an apple for breakfast then was so busy the rest of the day, come home and had my first meal at 4. It is now 7:30ish and I'm not hungry. Is this going to hurt just eating one meal today, or should I eat my second meal even though it is so late? Today was my first day I wasn't incredibly hungry all day. I was hungry in the morning, hence the apple, but it got better as the day wore on. Suggestions please. I have so enjoyed this forum. It has helped me stay on track. It only took me an hour tonight to figure out how to join. :-)

Liz

I started the injections on Tuesday and I've felt miserable ever since. I didn't load properly and now I feel like I have the flu. I've had trouble keeping my food down and no matter what I do, I ache and have cramps as if I'm on my period (I'm not pregnant, there's no way). Tonight would make my fourth injection, but I don't want to feel like this for the next three weeks and onward. (I'm a wimp, I know.) Can I quit now or just stick it out? How would I go about stopping now without gaining a ton of weight back? I've lost about 6 pounds but on my short frame it's enough to make a difference.

I'm still really young and I can manage to lose weight without all these side effects, I'm think. I was just hoping for a boost and it's not anything like I expected.

For those of you that have been following Annette her husband has been waiting for a heart transplant. Here is what has happened as of today:

I will be staying the night at the hospital :( elmers numbers are high. I'm waiting for more info :/

Later today:

Elmers pressures were as high as they were in January when the first did the transplant evaluation & they were bale to get them down. The Dr has managed to bring them down a little again but he will remain in ICU with a IV drip to keep the pressures down as low as possible.

He has the wires in his neck again going into the heart to monitor the pressures. He is pretty sick. They said that if they had tried to transant him with his numbers like this it wouldn't have worked.

What his Dr wants to do is list him all the way up as a status 1A right now which is the sickest of sick & the top of the list everywhere not just at UCSF. But they can't bump him up w/out getting his pressures down. They are coming down with the meds but they will have to keep it down for a few days. Looks like we are going to be here for a long time.

We didn't even know it was this bad. That is the scary part! God knew & that's why the other 3 hearts weren't good he would have died if they put them in!

Please keep Annette and Elmer in your thoughts and prayers! Elmer really needs those numbers to come down so he can have his transplant.

Hang in there Annette! God is good!

Ok here it is guys. Finally a Lounge to beat all lounges!
"The Illustrius Fin Of Worship Lounge".
This lounge spares no expense and all comers are welcome regardless of phase of diet (pending Pubah approval).
After all we have to keep all the riff raff out so we don't have problems here like they do in the other lounges, what with the peeing in the pool in the P2 lounge (now referred to by its members as Pee Too Lounge). And we have a real pool table unlike P4 Lounge who only have a "Pull Table" (a table under the pay phone with a pull out shelf for the phone book).
This lounge is for all the fun and mayhem not allowed in the other lounges. Come in and kick your shoes off and relax a while. Tell a joke or share a funny or embarrassing experience, or just make fun of Oz if you want to.
As long as you keep the bathrooms clean and keep comments clean please.
(Annette we promise not to make you clean the shuffle board court)
For those not familiar with the reference in the name of the lounge to the "fin of worship" please refer to http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgvanillaforum/discussion/1907/1/where-is-my-queen/ and read all posts.
It will explain everything.
Let the fun begin!!!
Your Grand Pubah
