I don't believe in half the water thing either if you are heavy. I think we go overboard with the water and that's why we see some weakness on the diet. People's electrolytes get messed up. I tell the folks I put on the protocol not to drink more than 100 oz, ever. And especially with heart problems, that's just plain dangerous. So I told my mom not to drink more than the 2 liters recommended.

I expected you to chime in Colleen :) We'll agree to disagree on this one, as usual :).

Not that you both don't make good arguments, and I totally agree with people going over board and thinking if 80 ounces is good 160 ounces is better. Unfortunately that is the way many people think, I've seen it many times on the board with other things as well as water.

So if you are reading this and you are new or unsure MORE IS NOT BETTER!!!!

Oh no, sorry to hear about your ankle, Jenni! I broke mine slipping on wet grass once. Surgery with plates and screws. NOT fun! Keep it elevated with ice on it. That helps the pain more than anything.

Hey ladies, sorry I wasn't around to reply yesterday. Ok, here's the situation. On my old scale, I showed no gains, in fact I kept loosing, and have been for the past few days. But just yesterday my new scale came in and when I weighed on it I was about 5 pound heavier than what my old scale showed just minutes earlier. I may have dodged the bullet on a gain or stall (I'll be able to tell more based on what my two scales say later today) but I may have messed up the way my HCG works in my system because a day after the cheat, I noticed more hunger everyday and it's not major but it's definitely more than when I started.

As for the water, I assumed I needed a lot because I weigh alot, and I think I misunderstood some measurements I looked up because I thought 1 liter was way more than 33 ounces. LOL So lately I've just been doing about 64-75 ounces. I saw a thread about room temp water keeps you from going so much so stopped drinking ice water. It's helped tremendously.

Sorry about your ankle Jenni. I sprained mine in March and I know it's miserable to be out of commission like that. I can't even imagine being hurt and on a diet. In fact, I milked my injury for all it was worth for about a week and my mom cooked or ordered me so much good but bad for my weight food. LOL

LOL Margie said that at least I can't get to the fridge LOL She's right, it's too much effort and hubby isn't around to get stuff right now hehe

I'm glad the room temp water has helped. :)
