    I hurt my neck and endured the pain until I no longer could handle it. I took 2 Tylenol with Codine which I have taken and it's never been a problem. About two hours later I have the worst stomach ache, upper back ache and most severely chest pain. I felt like there was a fire in my chest cavity. It was so painful and awful. It pushed me to tears and I have a high pain tolerance. We nearly went to the hospital. Any thoughts on this our lovely forum nurses? It was so scary.
    I know we're not suppose to take anything, but I endured the pain all day. I guess, just to have more pain in the end. Uhhgg

    Oh sweetie! I'm not a nurse but I cannot take codeine for the very reasons you just stated above. It sounds like your body is really sensitive to it now :( I endedf up in the hospital with the exact pains you described years ago. They said i had a reaction to the codeine.

    It IS scary when you go through it. I'm so happy the worst is over and you are here typing and not at the hospital. I hope you feel better hon,.

    Wow really? That's interesting that you had the same thing happen. I wasn't sure if the hcg made for a bad reaction or not. What did they do for you at the hospital? Felt awful! Thanks for chiming in:)

    I honestly don't remember what they did it was like 25 years ago. I just remember the horrible terrible pain. I thought I was going to die, seriously. I've never taken codeine again because of it....it terrifies me. I know how awful you felt and how scary. Just reading your post brought back all the memories;..;.I'm so glad your doing better hon.

    It might be that with your stomach empty, it upset the lining of your stomach. :-(

    I took it right after my protein shake, breadstick and apple though.... who knows. Poor tummy! It still hurts.

    Thanks Jenni- feeling much better then yesterday. I felt like I was having a heart attack or something. I"m glad you chimed in. I'm not taking that stuff ever again.

    LOL That's how I felt! I refuse it when the doctors offer it. They wanted me to take it for my foot and I flat out told him no. He said it probably wouldn't happen again. I said No! LOL If I can still remember that awful night 25+ years later there is NO way I would consider it. He gave me something else LOL

    I actually had sympathy pains when I was reading your post. It is truly miserable. You should be feeling better in another day or so hon.
