    i have a question I exercise and was wondering if I should have an extra serving of protein? I cut out fruit yesterday and by end of workout almost passed out very weird. Any who any advice would help:)

    i'm wondering the same thing, i am continuing working out and actually ran 2 miles plus strength this morning & for lunch had a good serving of chicken, probably 4 oz. Is this ok?

    My first 2 rounds I didn't continue working out. Between my 2nd and 3rd round, I trained for and completed a triathlon. When I started the 3rd round, I didn't want to stop working out and lose all my conditioning so I have been doing modified workouts plus adding tennis. I wasn't sure if I would add in extra protein or not and decided I would if I felt I needed to. Yesterday, here is my experience:

    EAS Protein Shake before an hour of singles in hot temp (90s)
    lean ground beef, tomatoes, melba toast, strawberries for lunch
    afternoon swimming 400 meters
    out to eat for dinner where I had a caesar salad with chicken and romaine lettuce only with squeezed lemon and pepper
    I opted not to have my 2nd fruit or more melba toast but I think I could have
    coffee, iced tea, lots of water throughout the day

    Today's weigh-in, I lost 1.5 lbs. The extra protein/shake didn't hurt AT ALL. I'll be curious to see my weigh-in tomorrow. If I only walk today, I'm not going to have any extra. If I decide to run, I will probably add in some more. I don't have much to lose this round either...just about 7 pounds as of today.

    That was just my experience today. I will continue to decide based on my workout for the day.

    My personal opinion is that all exercising HCG dieters should have more protein; way more than an extra 1/2 ounce too.

    thanks for the advice. Its nice to see the weight come off quicker if you workout. i'm gonna eat a fruit today and see how I feel next workout:) I eat 4oz. of protein twice a day.

    what do you have in your protein shake? just the powder and water?

    It was just a pre-mixed EAS protein shake from Walmart in a little silver container (like a Capri Sun for grown-ups almost hehe)...not the powder that I had to mix. They're over by the Atkins shakes.

    Yesterday, I didn't workout so I had no extra protein. Thought I'd not have a big loss today since I had the 1.5 lb loss yesterday morning. I was ecstatic when I weighed this morning and had lost 2 more pounds. I NEVER had a 2 lb loss in my 1st two rounds. I ran about 2 miles this morning and played about an hour of tennis so I did have a protein shake. The rest of my day will be regular P2 menu...I may skip melba tonight and maybe 2nd fruit but I may have the fruit. I'll wait and see how I feel then. I'm interested to see what my loss is tomorrow with the shake again today. 5.9 lbs to go until goal - on P2R3D8.

    I've got to add some exercise in tomorrow! I have been holding off since I've been hnugry the past few days (on VLCD 4) but you are making me want to do something! I am going to add some protein powder in the morning and see if that helps. Juliep your losses are so encouraging!

    I didn't work out today so didn't have 'much' extra...a couple of extra bites of chicken breast I had cooked up and measured for a meal. I am playing in a tennis tournament on June 5 and will play 3 or 4 matches that day. I'm trying to figure out what extra I'll add to help me get through that. I'm also considering eating a bit extra the night before. Since I'm just 4.9 lbs from goal, I may hit that before then and have upped my calories anyway.
