OK, thanks...that is what I thought. Won't it take forever to add things back in that way....or is that the point? :)

I start Phase 3 tomorrow and feel somewhat confused as well. We will adjust to this, just as we had to adjust with Phase 2. Thanks for the tip Grammy on looking at the ingredients, rather than the grams of sugar on the nutrition label. I need to check everything I bought at the store today to make sure I check all of the ingredients.

Welcome to P3...or almost. I've been having a hard time, but have also made the big mistake of adding too many new things all at once, and on day 1.....NOT smart! I've been paying for it too. Going slow seems to be key by what everyone is saying, and seeing how your body will react.

I did know about reading the actual ingredients list on everything though (1 key thing I've done right :) )...It's been taking me forever lately at the grocery store as I stand in the aisles and read the ingredients for everything. Certain foods have natural sugars in them, like tomatoes, but as long as there is no "added" sugars in the ingredients list, then you're fine. It's helpful to know also all the "hidden" names for sugars...do a search on it...it's crazy how they try to hide it with the different names.

    HTH and good luck!!

Hi mommyto2cuties, Tomorrow I start P3 also. Do you think we can we add dairy meaning: cream, buttermilk, yogurt in the same day or do you think we should isolate the types of dairy like the way we do nuts?

It seems as though everyone who drinks coffee adds cream their first day of P3...but I "think" that yogurt (hopefully Plain Greek yogurt) would be considered your new food for the day...meaning if you add Yogurt, don't add anything else new for 3 days to make sure that you're body is okay with it. If you have no gain after that, then you can add in another "danger" food, i.e. cheese, eggs, nuts, wait the same 3 days to make sure you're okay with it, and so on. If you do have a gain, you'll know what food it was, and just stay away from it for awhile. Then you can retry it the next week, and many do fine then. If not, I think it means that you shouldn't eat it.

K....look up some of my recent posts, I started P3 Monday, and have had a hard time, making many mistakes...it might be helpful to you to see what "not" to do, and read others' advice! I'm looking forward to tomorrow, and hope that it's a new beginning for me!!

    HTH! Lori :)

Thank you for such good info!! I think another key to success is planning meals and snacks ahead of time. I agree mommyto2cuties, the time spent at the grocery store has been hours! I was there today for 2 hours and still couldn't find everything. I am off to a healthy/organic grocer tomorrow to finish up. I plan on starting my first P3 day with an omelet with mushrooms, pepper and just a small amt. of cheese. It will be hard not to eat all of the things I have been looking forward to all at one time, but I will start slowly as this is what everyone seems to recommend. I also can't wait to drink my coffee again with half and half in it!!!

LOL...I did the same thing last Sunday (Monday was D1P3)....went to 3 different stores trying to stock up on all the wonderful food I was going to eat. Well, I ate good on Monday, but have been paying for it since. I've already done 2 steak days this week...and I'm determined to not do another (positive thinking)! Haven't had a "normal" day since. Tomorrow is going to be like starting over for me, and I'm going to add things in ONE at a time!!!

Some people do fine adding in multiple things, and I thought I'd be one of them, but wasn't.

Nightowl...I plan on "restarting" tomorrow with a very similar breakfast... a little more veggies, and I'm not going near the cheese yet....I posted my menu on a separate post.

    Lori :)
