I will start P3 next week and I am unsure, I don't think I completely understand what I can eat. I think I increase calories, and avoid sugars and starches....but then I get confused. :) I can add eggs, cheeses...can I add sour cream? salad dressings? peanut butter (sugar-free?)...olive oil, butter..any other specific things I can add?? I did well on P2 knowing exactly what I could eat. :) Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

I would stay clear of the peanut butter for now but the rest is a go. Just might want to watch for too much added sugar in the salad dressings. I used regular Ranch (1g sugar) with no problems tho.

OR you can do Linda lous AMAZING blue cheese recipe.

Cream cheese, splash of half and half, dollop of sour cream and of course blue cheese. IT"S AMAZING. You just mix it to how thick you like it and how much of the blue cheese flavor that you want. It's the best dressing i've ever had.

    Hi, Lrk25

I start P3 tomorrow. Someone posted this link and I found it very helpful:

    http://www.yourhcgdiet.com/hcg-plans.html

Click where is says Clinic Plan we use. It gives some detailed ideas about increasing calories. Basically, everyone says to do it gradually. As far as adding foods back in, everyone says to add just one new food every day. If you add something back in, and then gain some weight the next day, you are not tolerating that food well. Some people re-try a food that they have trouble with later on. And after having such a restricted diet, some people get sick if they go hog wild on the first day. I'm pretty sure I would. But gosh, I didn't know I could be so excited about a couple of scrambled eggs! (My planned breakfast for tomorrow morning) LOL

Everything on your list looks good - but I would check the salad dressings for any hidden sugars or starches. Basically check everything for sugar/starch. You can add any kind of nuts. I've heard that some people add almonds back in first, and wait on peanuts, because they seem to cause several people trouble.

Someone sent me a compilation of P3 recipes. A lot of them look wonderful. You can email me at jennietilton@swbell.net, and I'll be happy to forward them to you.

Good luck and have lots of fun with P3. I personally can't wait!

    Thank you everyone!

Jennie, I will email you and would love the recipes...I will also check out the link you sent. :)

I checked my Ranch dressing and it has 1g of Sugar, think that will be ok? This is hard, but I am very excited to get to add some new foods too....I have been dreaming of scrambled eggs LOL. Can I add onions, peppers, etc as long as eggs are my "new food" or no? And then if I add eggs, do the other 2 meals basically stay the same as P2? I don't know why this is so confusing to me! :(

Don't look at the nutritional label, look at the ingredients for any added sugar or starch. Many items will have grams of sugar but they are natural sugar. The only way to know is to look at the ingredients. :-)

Thanks for that tip too! :) But, do I gradually need to add other fruits, veggies and meat back in too???

Ok, so if I want to add eggs as my first new food....can I add anything to them? Mushrooms, peppers?? I assume no cheese yet? Then are the rest of my meals for the day basically like I ate for P2 or can I add other meats and veggies?? Thanks~

When you add a new food - like eggs, make it the only new food...eat it more than once in that day if you like, but keep everything else simply P2 like. Otherwise, you will not know which food you reacted to.
