I have a friend on the new HuCog and she had to take a cortisone injection. She is 7 days in right now and not losing and still hungry. She is taking .35 units. I am telling her to do a skip day to see if we can get her fixed. But won't the cortisone make her hungry anyway? And how long after getting it will it linger in her body? She is also having to take iron because of restless leg syndrome. Any help out there would be appreciated.

one shot won't, no. it shouldn't affect her- she probably needs to tweak her dose.

The cortisone might be affecting her hunger. It did mine. But I more suspect her dose this far out. Have her skip a day and see if she's less hungry.

I had to have one in my elbow and one in my thumb and neither caused hunger. I would suspect it's her dosage.

Yes I think it probably is too. But the cortisone shot I had to have on my first round made me ravenous. I took a diflucan to kill the yeast and the hunger was gone in a day. But it's been long enough that I don't think it's the cortisone.

thanks all. I had her do a skip day and she is less hungry. She says more of an empty feeling but it happens often throughout the day. She will do less hcg tomorrow and hopefully she is cured. I sure appreciate the chime ins from you all.
