    I am planning on doing IM injections on my next round and am looking at ordering some needles online and am wondering what length I should order. Want to make sure i order the right ones. :) Thanks

    24 guage I believe... but I could be wrong. Hopefully, someone will chime in that knows for sure!

    noooo! :) 24 gauge are like tree trunks. :)

    there is a specialty needle that is 1.25" long, and 27 gauge- those are the least painful to use for IM.

    so the 1.25 are long enough to get into the muscle? I found 1.5 on one site that were 27 gauge but they were quite a bit more expensive than the site I found the 1.25. So if the 1.25 will work, then that sounds good to me.

    they might be 1.25"- can't quite remember. but the length depends on your body and how much fat you're going through, as well as where you inject. for instance you don't need as long a needle for the deltoid as you do the quads.

    what do you weight? and if you're going to inject in your thigh (most do), do you have a lot of fat there?

    DEpending on how much fat you have on your thighs, you can use 1/2". You need to push down all the fat, hold and then put the needle in. I have lost consistently as I am a baby about big needles.
