OK - I had some mild stomach discomfort yesterday with the eggs (day 1 of P3), but I didn't gain anything. I actually was down .4 lbs. And today, same thing with the greek yogurt. I'm assuming this is just cause my stomach is not used to these types of foods, and the larger amount of food. I'm keeping the meals small and more frequent.
And how much of a gain would it need to be to signify that you had a problem with a certain food? My weight fluctuates about a half a pound all the time.
I had a lot of stomach issues during the first week or so of P3. Bloating and gas etc, I gather it's a common thing. I ordered some daily enzymes (ones that have a little something in them for protein and carbs and fat and milk products) and take one before lunch and one before dinner. I haven't had a problem since. It might be something to consider.
As for the gain to indicate a problem I think people were saying it would be significant, 2 lbs at once or more. I had a 1.4oz gain from bacon and thought that was a big enough jump to worry (turns out it wasn't the bacon, I didn't know the bacon had sugar in it, duh me)
Thanks, PsycheUtah. If the stomach discomfort doesn't resolve, I may get some enzymes. I'll give it a few days, as long as I'm not gaining anything. It is slightly worse with the yogurt.
Even it you ate sugar free bacon, I would think the sodium in bacon could make you retain water the next day.
