I love fruit and I'm trying to figure out if is ok to have 3-4 allowable fruits on p3. Thanks!

Trudeau recommends 3 apples and grapefruit total. You'll just have to watch your weight and see if that's too much. It's important to get in the right amount of protein though and you might be tempted to eat fruit instead of the protein you need.

OK, thanks! The protein is just supposed to be twice as much as I ate in p2, right?

I always say at least 2x, yes. You've been on the verge of protein deficiency.

Is there a recommendation for the exact number of grams of protein per day?

No. When you read Pounds and iNches he talks about people not eating enough and gaining so he has them have 2 eggs for breakfast, a huge steak and large chunk of cheese for lunch and another huge steak for dinner. That's way more than doubled. . .

on Sparkpeople it says my protein goal for the day should be 36-158 grams. I thought I would probably be best to shoot for the high end. After breakfast I already have 33. Thanks for your help!

That protein goal of 36-158 is actual protein in the items we eat, right? Not the weight of the meat we eat. For example I ate a bunch of greens today that had protein.
