    Well, I went in yesterday and found that somehow I have kinked my intestine. Because of this my doctor wants me to take a laxative type medication so I can get food through my intestines.

    But I am worried that I am not supposed to take that while on this diet? How is it going to affect me? I am on VLCD 8...I don't want to stop right now. Any suggestions?

    You can take a laxative as long as it doesn't have sugar in it.
