I make a salad with lettuce, tomatoes and cukes. Mixing veggies don't seem to affect my weight loss. I then sprinkle acv and add a dash of salt and pepper to it, and top it with some finely chopped basil. It's a great balance to the chicken n gravy.... absolutely yummy!
Here's the link for the orig gravy recipe: http://hcgrecipes.blogspot.com/2007/09/chicken-gravy.html
I add tom. to my salad also, especially if I add the chicken up top. Can you just use chicken broth from the can or do you have to boil the chicken to get the broth?
i made my own broth... but if you have a broth that is ok for hcg, i'm sure it would work fine, too. also, i added a little more broth and let the gravy sit for few minutes after stirring. it still thickened up well for me.
I cook chicken on the grill and it turns out nice and juicy. The key is to cook it on low.
My husband always like to turn up the heat and sear(sp) each side. Then turn the heat down and cook it through. It always turns out dry and crispy.
When I cook it I cook it at a low temp. Probably about 7 minutes on each side, depending on how thick the chick is. When it's done I put it on a plate, wrap tin foil around it and let it sit for 5 minutes. Same with steak, slow and steady, let sit for 5 minutes. Yummy and juicy!!
I steamed my chicken in chai tea, I would cook a few pieces at a time and store them in the juices I cooked them in and microwaved them for lunch... it was so juicy and tender!
I grill my chicken too, but I was always told to not cook it through and through, but to wait until it is almost done and then let it sit and the residual heat finishes cooking it. I also cut up my portions and sprinkle johnny's season salt (with MSG, it doesn't have sugar) Abodo, garlic and onion powder and black pepper. I then seal them up in zip locks and let them sit at least over night...mmmmm soo Yummy!
I baked my boneless chicken breasts in low sodium chicken broth, cover pan with foil, then remove for last 15 minutes. I made a whole bag of frozen breasts, and used one can of broth. I also covered with sprinkling of a salt free multi spice mix I got at Costco. I threw out the broth, and cut each breast into fourths..bagged two pieces into ziplocs..weighed them ( all close to 3.5 ounces ). Tonight for dinner. One can of albacore white tuna in water..4.5 oz drained. then used approx. 1/2 to 3/4 cups of pico de gallo. very good.
