I went to my guy and the answer is that my iron levels are dangerously low. That is why I have been feeling dizzy and weak. Not from lack of protein, or my massage or that I could be getting sick. Taking iron is not a quick fix, you have to ease it into your system with food a little at a time, and as we all know we can't have much food to eat. So, for anyone whose been feeling like crap. This could be an answer for you too.
I am anemic most of the time. Since I have had my stomach stapled I do not absorb things well so I have to go regularly to have my iron checked. I have to have it infused. This is a six hour process. If you take pills and have small children make sure they are put away they are poison if taken in large doses and they can't use anything to absorb it or get it out of their system. My pharmasist was very adimant about this when my kids where small.
I am on the drops (15 drops 3x a day ordered from healthyhcg.com) and It is VLCD5 for me, and yesterday and today have been a little rough. I have been slightly dizzy, headache, hungry, and a bit of nausea. Am I doing something wrong? I am coming in on my calories at about 480-490. Do I need to meet the 500 exactly? I have been doing well weight wise thought. Before load 118, after load 122, and now im down to 116 with a goal of 105. I am really short (4'11") so 118 is big for me, but I dont think anyone here will judge :) So I figure things are working, but the symptoms are kinda lame. Will they go away? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!!! :)
You shouldn't be hungry this far in. Try upping your drops to 18 3x a day. The headache will go away. It's often part of detoxing. You can take ibuprofen or whatever you like for that. :-) Colleen
It wouldn't probably be on protocol, but I had to take Florodex after my second child after losing double the amnt of blood. It is a GREAT source of iron without plugging you up! Although it tastes nasty, I had to mix it with o.j. or something. Even if it wouldn't work while your on P2 it would be good for later on.
This gives me hope. I have felt bad for quite some time. I've been just hanging out in phase 4 because I haven't felt like navigating through phase 2. I went to the doc twice w my symptoms, and was told he wasn't sure. Thought it was maybe a sinus infection, but antibiotics haven't helped. After your post I googled iron deficiency and it fits me to a "t"! And to think my doc could have done a simple blood test while he checked thyroid and everything else!
