I use the front of my thigh and alternate each day. I am a nurse and I suggest you use a large muscle. Thigh or your butt which is hard to do without a pal. I inject in the front and center of my thigh. I use .2 for .200, and never warmed anything...try your thigh if this continues you may want to consult a doctor. You should not bleed from these shots.

susie- i don't think i've ever told anyone to do this, but i think you should stop your shots. this is a HIGHLY abnormal response to the hcg. if you are having that much swelling and bruising it will not help to do the injections in your thigh. besides, you're not aiming for a muscle with those needles- the purpose is to stay in the subq space, which is the tissue below the skin, but before you get to the muscle.

my first instinct was to wonder if you have some sort of clotting disorder (like a hemophiliac)- but if that were the case you would have the swelling and bruising with the b-12 shots as well as the hcg. so i don't think you can conclude anything other than you are having some kind of very weird and rare allergy to the hcg. it's not uncommon for it to take you a while to reaction to a substance- i've been struggling with severe skin reactions to several meds i've tried, and each time i've taken the pills for about 10 days before the reactions started to occur.

i don't think i'd recommend the sub-lingual pharmacy-grade hcg either, since you might be having a systemic reaction that you're not yet aware of- and if you're reacting to the shots, you're going to react (in some way) to the hcg done with another method. if you really want to continue, my suggestion would be that you do an interruption (even though you're not officially supposed to do one until after day 23) while you order some hhcg and wait for it to arrive. most people are able to get theirs within a few days. so do your last 3 vlcd's (without the shots), and then eat like you're in P3 until the hhcg arrives. officially you can start up with the hhcg and the vlcd on the same day, but since you're switching methods i'd eat normally for the first day or 2 that you take the hhcg, before you resume the vlcd.

one other remote possibility- did you re-mix before you started having the reaction? if you did, then it's possible that you have a bad batch of hcg- something with an impurity in it that you're reacting to. but if you're on your original mixture, than that would not be the case.

another possibility even more remote is that you're allergic to something used in the processing of the hcg, that might be used by one manufacturer of hcg but not with a different brand. but i think that's unlikely, plus it would involve buying more hcg that you might not be able to use. since homeopathics work on an entirely different principle, and the amount of actual hcg in hhcg is extremely small, i think there is a good chance you could take hhcg and not react to it.

I agree with mgsondance. I'm a nurse and you should not be having that type reaction. Yes, sometimes an allergy takes a few days or times of use, to present. The hhcg is the one to try.. especially if you are saying you didn't have that problem with it. Sorry to hear of your reaction and know you must really be disappointed, but remember, Safety and health first. I use hhcg drops, but until you know you are 'OK' with the product and the 'route', I would not try the sublinqual..it could be life threatening if your throat/airway became swollen.

I think I'll try to get the hhcg, but the timing couldn't be any worse. I'm leaving in a few days to drive from Idaho to Pennsylvania. If I ordered it from the guy I got it from last time I don't know if it would make it to me on time. :( Plus I was soo close to nailing down my dose.
I think I might try a few more shots mixed with the saline. Can I get that at Walgreens/CVS?RiteAid? I haven't had any numbness anywhere or anything like Anaphylactic . When I mixed this first time I did have some "issues" where I had to put the bac water back into the container and then back into the vial...maybe it got contaminated then? On the other hand, I only have ten days left...that would only be 9 more shots. (unless the saline works then I would continue)
Either way, like I said before, my hubby wants me to try it in a different location first before I change anything. I might also try my B12 again and see if I react....so this is what a guinea pig feels like.

Thanks Donna :) If we decide to make a detour it might be to my sisters, who I gave my half used 4 oz bottle to. Come to think of it, the guy I ordered from is closer to me (by 10 miles) than my sister.But, I'm really hoping it is as easy as the saline.
I'm still considering doing a planned interruption but once again I have to think of my family...they were hoping this would be my last round for a long time. I tend to be a bit more irritable while on protocol. And doing a planned interruption would just make this round longer. On the other hand my Hubby told me that the more weight I can get off would make me healthier and he wants me to be as healthy as I can...ie. "I'll suffer if it make you healthier." But then he also turns around and say that he doesn't want me spending any more money...(eye roll)
Anyway, like I said, I'll try the saline tomorrow and then if that doesn't work I'll order some hhcg. And in the mean time maybe do a planned interuption. It should get to PA around the same time I will.

Oh!!! I just had a thought! Grammy,Vegas, or Marggie, what if I gave myself a shot of just Bac water? I'd try it in a fresh location and see if I reacted. Would that work?
