I tried searching but couldn't find anything exactly pertinent.

I'm on P3D4 and went on an easy but long hike yesterday. About 5 hours. I woke up today to a 3.4 pound gain!!! How is that possible? My measurements are the same. Where did that come from???

if it's not normally something you do (the hiking/exercise), your muscles may be retaining some water. That's really not uncommon. I'd up my water today and if things don't start dropping tomorrow, I'd do a protein day and start analyzing my foods!

I'm glad to have this site as a resource....I am on day 6 on P3 and decided to exercise last evening and experienced a weight gain of 2lbs....that's really disappointing. I think I may stick to casually walking for now as this was successful for me in P2. The elypitcal is not my friend for now....

I'm glad the question was asked as I was wondering the same. My husband even asked if it was too soon to incorporate exercise at this point and he is a gym junky! I'm kind of glad the pressure is off to "have" to go to the gym at this point. I feel exhausted today compared to when I was not going to the gym on this phase.

    Thanks again all.....happy stabilizing!

when you gain after exercise it's definitely water retention. but in the long run, you're burning extra calories so the scale will be more friendly in a day or 2.
