Just want to say to everyone who is struggling on this plan, THIS WORKS!!! I have never been on a diet before that actually changed my brain. It has taken the best part of a year to get 53 lbs off, but I don't think about food the way I used to. I have tried almost every diet plan there is and always went back to craving carbs. Food ruled my life because those cravings were so strong. This plan is different. Something changes in Phase 3 that has given me freedom. I still weigh every day and if I am 2 lbs over, I do a steak day immediately. That's a small price to pay for health. This has changed something in my brain, though. Maybe Dr. Simmeons is right and the hypothalmus resets, I don't know. What I do know is that food no longer rules me. I rule what I eat. The VLCD is not easy. What diet is, but now I have hope of actually staying thin and being healthy. I have never been able to say that before. Don't give up. This one is different and it truly works.

Wow! Just what I needed to hear, Teresa! I am just completing P2 and was worried my constant carb cravings might return. Your words have inspired me to stay on track through P3 and beyond. Thank you!!!!!

This is great motivation! How long did it take you to lose the 53? That's GREAT! I love hearing these success stories. I am nervous about P3 and after but I definitely feel like being on the VLCD is a huge wake up call... it's like- WOW I am losing weight and not eating all the crap I used to and I am FINE with that! Almost as if I never realized I COULD be fine without all that crap! I am glad to know that even after being off the diet, that feeling still stays with you.

Thanks SO much Teresa! This is exactly what I am hoping for. I am feeling that this might be happening with my brain but I wasn't sure if it was just still being on a weight loss high. I am in the last week of P2 and hoping for a calm stabilization in P3.

I was an absolute carboholic and addicted to fast food. Although I wouldn't say that are completely gone, I do feel more of a drive to continue eating whole foods and limiting the chemicals I ingest. The change in the shape of my body is unlike on any other diet I have completed, I am amazed. The gut I always had (even at 125#) is significantly less. I am hoping the miracle changes continue and that I can post the same message in a year as you just did.

    Thanks again!!!!
