Found this on lowcarb360.com. It has no cream cheese but she uses vanilla whey protein powder. Sounds interesting. Just wondering if anything thinks this may affect our stabilization differently then the original Oopsie recipe.

    Ingredients:

    4 Egg Whites

    1/4 tsp cream of tartar

    3 Egg Yolks

1 Tsp Mrs Dash (original blend)

    1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 scoop of 365 Brand vanilla whey protein shake (from whole foods) mix with 1/4 water

    1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise

    Method:

    1. To the egg yolks add the Mayonnaise, Mrs dash, cheddar cheese and the vanilla shake and mix until uniform.
    2. To the egg whites add the cream of tartar and whisk using a mixer as shown in the video.
    3. Add the egg yolk mixture to the egg whites and fold in the mixture.
    4. Using a large spoon, spoon mixture out to a try lined with parchment paper.
    5. Bake for 35 minutes at 300 degrees
    6. Turn oven off and leave in oven for another 5 minutes.
    7. Then remove croissants and place on a wire rack to cool.
    8. Let cool for about 10 minutes before eating.
This mixture will make 6 large croissants, Enjoy!

    Thanks,
    Mary

As long as there is no added sugar or starch in the shake mix, should be fine. Some brands of mayo have corn starch though, so read the label carefully. The combo of a sweet vanilla shake, with mayo, Mrs. Dash and cheddar sounds unappealing to me, but who knows....I'd think making it with cinnamon instead of the Mrs. Dash and cream cheese instead of of the cheddar, or using plain whey instead of vanilla might be better.

I have been making bread like items with protein powder for my last 3 P3's. It works really well.... I have made savory and sweet. The sweet ones are kind of like the mug cakes, but I make them in a ramekin. The savory ones I make in the ramekin also, but cut them in slices....

I just can't wait to try any of these recipes, period! :)

Did any of you stall or gain after? Should I wait until I'm a week into P3 or am I good to start right away? I guess I can try it on the day I add eggs.

Still so nervous about gaining on P3 but I won;t know what happens until I get there. I hope all of this worry is for nothing!

    Thanks,
    Mary
