Well dang! There are a list of 25 things to do if you stall - and this was ONE of them! Yeah, I didn't see it in P&I. OK, I will back it down and maybe only use it occasionally - just to change up the way the fish tastes. Of course, if my scale tells me a whole lot different tomorrow, I will probably pitch it!
I wonder if the stalls from it are becuz of the soy or the sodium....
Thanks Grammy/Colleen - enjoy your responses on so many threads! Thanks for being there for all of us!!! We appreciate YOUUUUUU!
You might be okay to use it, Nancy. It just stalls some people. Either the soy or the sodium. If you have any thyroid issues though, soy is bad. :-( Colleen
The fermented soy, like Bragg's, is much easier for the body to use, and doesn't have as many detrimental effects. You still don't want to consume too much, though. Clar, soybean oil has no carbs in it, so that part isn't an issue, but there are a lot of oils that are much better for you (and not GMO, like soy nearly always is).
On my "healing diet," I could only use Vegenaise with Grapeseed Oil, which I can find at Whole Foods (refrigerated section, purple label.) In my HD book there is a recipe for Ranch dressing made with Vegenaise and organic sour cream, five spices and salt and pepper. It is so good!
Another thing the HD said was that so many oils we think of as common are NOT HEALTHY. I see mention on many of these threads about coconut oil - and that's what HD promotes for cooking. Olive oil is not to be heated for cooking - even Dr. Oz says that. The heat changes the structure of it. The HD book said you could add olive oil to cooked vegetables, or, of course, bread or salad. One of the big no-nos on HD is CANOLA OIL. There is no such thing as a canola.... it is rapeseed oil that has gone rancid due to processing. It contains erucic (sp?) acid. Rapeseed is used in insect repellent and during WWII, it was also used in mustard gas. So go another route for your oil On P3 and P4!
