I just started P3 yesterday and I bought the Odwalla brand Protein Monster. Here is the link to all the nutritional facts. http://www.odwalla.com/products/ChocolateProteinMonster.jsp It says it has sugar but my question is, is it natural sugars and is it ok? If it is I figured it was a yummy treat that gave me protein and all sorts of yummy other nutrients.
Please let me know your opinion. Thanks in advance.
Ok...crap...i drank about 2 shots worth. I hope it doesn't set me back too bad. I'll have to have my husband take it to work, cause it was REALLY good. :)
So grammy, if soy is not allowed can I not have things like Tofu? I just assumed that was ok. I had some the other day, but that was it. I need to stop assuming. Other than these two things I have stayed on protocol, I just did the tofu cause we had nothing else I could eat in the house.
It would probably be a good alternative in p4 and beyond, though. And it was early enough in the day that you can hopefully correct it by eating right and drinking enough water. It was just a flub.
I had a drink called Skinny Water yesterday. It's probably been brought up before around here, but it was really good and contains no bad stuff. (On p3)
OK - now all the talk about "no soy/no tofu" is confusing me. Braggs Liquid Aminos is made primarily from soy....and that is listed in the book as something to use for seasoning - or just to drink a cup of it (one tsp to a cup of hot water.) This book came with my HCG drops/B12 sublingual drops/super max vitamins/glandular support.....
So is it "certain soy" things that we are to stay away from? (I shouldn't be butting in - I'm on P2D3.) Before starting HCG, I was on a healing diet and it was lots of GOOD FATS, protein and veggies, but not high glycemic ones. No bread, pasta, rice, etc. Basically no breads of any kind. Zero grains, but you could have seeds like flax seed and you could eat all nuts except cashews. Their take was that soy products affects your hormones - so stay away from anything soy! I really enjoy soy milk and tofu and edamame - but figure if/when I get the weight off, go thru Maintenance and P4 and get stabilized - I would go back to healing diet. So I can sure live without soy - but I did just season my tilapia with ithe Braggs Liquid Aminos at lunch. Made it more palatable. Eating fish everyday is VERY HARD for me. But I can do ANYTHING to get the weight off!
