Ok so i'm new to the HCG diet. This is my 4th day on the VLCD, lost about 5 lbs and i'm feeling kind of off. is this normal? I'm also gassy hehe can anyone suggest how to fix this and a sour stomach? but my main concern is today I feel out of breath, its not that bad but sometimes I have to take a deep breath. Has anyone had experience like this or is it normal the first week? I would really hate to get off the diet because I just started and its proven that it works I just feel a bit odd.
... Well, I can say I did feel poorly the first week. You might want to consider your dose....post it here and the vets will help you adjust it or tell you if it's in the correct range. There is the theory that toxins are stored in the fat reserves and are released, especially in the beginning (still mulling that in my mind; ssorry I can't aver to the statement).
The sour stomach?? Not sure on that one except that you might be eating something that really does not agree with you but you never knew it before because we eat so muddled normally. What are you eating?
So post back with your food list and dose amount and let's see if we can suss it all out.
I am taking it sublingually .5ml every morning & night of the mix of 5000 iu HCG, 2ml collodial silver & 13ml of b12. (Not really good at math hehe) Maybe its the Lemon I use to cook the meats thats making me sour? But I never had that problem before. Maybe its candida? usually I would drink 2-4 glasses of green and white tea everyday along with my 2 liters of water. I also notice that if I do any form of exercise (even walking) I don't lose so much as if I stay in my apt and do house chores.
ugh and I'm also at a stall today.. no loss today and its my 5th day but I heard thats common with women because of water retention or something right? What should I do now? Should I do an apple or steak day? or just do the diet normally?
Aridian~ I felt horrible days 6-8. Zero energy and just sort of fluish feeling. Some nausea too. I pushed through it and on VLCD14 I feel great! However, I can tell when I have had a good loss, my body feels sort of heavy, like my muscles have to work harder. I have been told (and read) that the icky feeling is your body detoxing. Keep drinking your water/green tea. It will pass. I seem to lose much better on a little bit of water and a lot of green tea. I would keep doing the diet normally ... I have heard the apple days are a waste of time. Good luck!
thank you I was feeling a bit of nausea (but thats over as of today) & I have the sniffles. I'm just scared that its an allergic reaction to the hcg and that would make me scream my head off if I have to get off it because I really want to do this protocol. :( I really want to change my life and lose this extra baggage hehe. But I will keep going and hopefully this sickness will pass. Is there anyone else that has experienced the shortness of breath situation? Oh and I have another ? what should I do when my menses comes? should I stop taking the hcg? or keep taking it? I know I still have to be on the VLCD but I was wondering if I still have to take the hcg dosage?
I would not think it was an allergic reaction to hcg. Here is a funny story. My first day of HCG I also too my sub vit b. About 20 minutes later my face started to feel funny. I dismissed it. But then it started to get worse, sort of burning and itchy at the same time. By the time I stood up and went to the bathroom to look in the mirror, I looked like an oompa loompa! My face was beet red! Then it spread to my arms, chest and tops of my legs. I thought "good Lord this is the beginning of the end". My first thought was allergic reaction to hcg. I was about to cry. Then my husband looked at the vit b box .. it was a niacin flush! Ha! Silly me.
Are you still short of breath today? I sort of felt that way, but more just icky feeling which was caused me to keep taking deep breaths.
Aridian- I had a heavy, congested chest for the first week of VLCD. I actually forgot until I read your post. I noticed it when I would lay down in bed at night. Anything to do with my breathing makes me panicky. I thought it was allergies as well but it may have been a symptom of detox perhaps? it did pass. I did get the rash from detoxing and I still have remnants and I am on day 43.
BTW, I took my HCG sublingually also and never stopped during my TOM.
yea it definitely feels that way too when i'm laying down. I'm the same way when it comes to my breathing because well..... I want to lose this weight but I also don't want to die :p Ok this is kind of a relief hehe thank you everyone. good thing I don't have rashes... yet? hehe but I will keep gunning through this! Twinma: Did you lose any weight during your TOM?
