Is Mug Cake and Cocoa Crack the same? If not what's the difference? I have a recipe for mug cake but if they are different please let me know the recipe for the cocoa crack. I use xylitol for my sweetener of choice but have others if needed.

    Thanks.

I haven't made this yet, but here is the recipe for the mug cake, taken from one of the threads here....

    EASY CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
    phase3

This recipe is for one serving and is cooked in a coffee mug in the microwave
    Ingredients:
4 Tbsp. Coconut flour (I use almond flour)
4 Tbsp. Sugar Alternative (I use sweet n low but only about 3 packets. In P4, I use agave nectar)
    2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. milk
    3 Tbsp. oil
    Splash of Vanilla extract
    1 large coffee mug
Mix all dry ingredients in mug, add egg and blend thoroughly. Add milk, oil and vanilla and mix. Place in 1000 watt
microwave for three (3) minutes. Do not cover mug. Cake will rise over top - do not be alarmed. Let cool and place on
plate. Add a little whipped cream to top or Carb wise ice cream.

And here is collene's recipe for the cocoa crack--it's more like thin slivers of candy bar in my opinion, almost like a nestle crunch bar.

    3T melted coconut oil
    3T cocoa
    1 1/2 T xylitol
Mix together and spread on wax paper then put in freezer.

stevia is fine for P3...I wouldn't worry about adding that one by itself.

I made the cocoa crack on P2 without any problems. Except control. I ate half of it the first day and I'm pretty sure it needs to be divided up into several portions. LOL

I used Truvia (Stevia knock off) for mine

No, peanuts are legumes and not for P3, but you can have almonds & macadamia nuts.

Just a little caution about using xylitol, if you eat too much of it, it can have a laxative effect... a *sudden* laxative effect.

Coconut oil is a bit different in that it is a medium chain triglyceride (MCT) and reacts differently in the body that other oils. Strict protocol: not allowed. Rogue protocol, allows it if it doesn't affect you. Personally, I gained with cocoa crack (tried using both coconut oil and straight MCT oil--I'm also blood type O and coconut oil is not a good food for me) so I don't make it in P2. And, I really don't care for the taste. It's one of those YMMV things.
