I am just completing R2P4Week3. I did one long round...and was sad w/ the last 2 weeks' results. During phase 2, I lost 37lbs and felt great. I stabilized just 1.6lb under my liw. Now, I feel soft and pudgy. I see myself the same as before the protocol. Though, I know I am almost 1/2 the size. I do plan on doing another round as soon as it arrives..fingers crossed for this week... for the (hopefully) last 15lbs. Does anyone have any suggestions or explanation for the squishiness? If the scale wasn't there, I'd swear I'd gained 10lbs. Is it possible to "grow" without gaining weight? I'm not real hung up on the weight, just the feeling of being weighed down. I weigh 30lbs more than my sis in law and am only one size larger.

Thanks for all the great advice and encouragement here, you all are the best!

are you exercising? you do lose muscle on a low-cal diet, so that will help. probably some of it is loose skin as well, and you just have to give that time.

it's all mental. I feel the same way. This is something we've talked about on the forum quite a lot. Our mental image takes a while to catch up with what we really look like.

I am exercising some, but not enough to really claim I work out. I will put a little bit more umph in it, this week.

I read that, about the mental image, and why it is so important to take "before" photos, but just recently. I really wasn't expecting such great results. You know, the "Sure it worked for her, but nothing works for me" attitude. It just seems silly. How can we get past or avoid that wacked out perception?

    Thanks for your response.

See if you can find some old fat photos to compare. :-) Then just give it time.

abostick---I can relate to what you are saying. Everytime I have something new and wonderful happen with this, I have that moment of ...eyebrows up, shake the head back and forth slowly, how did this happen? I was shocked when I lost my load weight quickly. I am shocked that I am stabilizing in P3. Can't wait to do another round. I feel more confident and think I will do even better this time, armed with a lot more information, and belief that it WORKS!

I am creeping up on 50 lbs lost and I still feel fat (well I am still overweight, but not too much). If it weren't for the scale and my clothes, I wouldn't believe it.

I also feel fat in P3... tummy is bloated for at least a week.

I've never been 1 of the fortunate ones to lose inches in P3...I gain them and right around the middle. The only thing I miss about P2 is the tummy, or should I say lack of! :)

Awww man! My belly has been my major issue my whole life. Even at 127 I still have a pudge. I'll be sad if it gets bigger in p3. Any way to possibly avoid this? Will my clothes no longer fit?

    Scared,
    Mary
