Is anyone else feeling extremely weak and tired on P3? I think the lack of carbs is taking a toll on me. Is this normal?I have been in p3 for a week now. Just want to stay curled up on the couch. Very irritable too!

You do know you can have fruit, right? Just make sure it's the no-so-sweet kind. I get VERY cranky (okay, like murderous kind of cranky) with no carbs! But upping my fats seemed to help alot. So you might try some fattier protein today and avocados if you like that sort of thing. Within reason, of course, you don't want to freak your body out with the extra fat if you're not very far into p3 yet. And make sure you're eating enough! One of the biggest mistakes in p3 is eating low calorie!

I am not in P 3 yet, so no experience here. But I have a suggestion. Can you get a B 12 injection? Any doctors office can get you one. It works wonders with energy, and it is completly different from taking it orally.

If you think you need more carbs, eat plenty of veggies - Besides protein, I always eat a big plate of string beans, broccoli, or yellow squash (all with butter) for dinner. Have you added in dairy yet? Greek yogurt mixed with berries, sweetened with stevia, is great. Plenty of carbs in that.

Nice to know I am not alone in my suffering, Ellie! It sucks doesn't it? Can't wait for a couple more weeks till we can add in a few healthy carbs. I swear they affect my happiness!

No, they're not too starchy. Potatoes and the heavy, dense squashes like butternut are ones to avoid, but yellow and zucchini squash are fine. I've eaten a small quantity of carrots in soup, but they are very starchy, too. String beans are fine. Fresh ones with butter and salt are just the best!
