I've found grissini at Safeway, my whole family loves them now. They have sea salt, parmesan and plain. All have the same calories. I really love the 34 degree crackers though that I mentioned in my original post.

I don't seem to have any negative or positive effect and I think we do need some carbs or else our bodies will become even more sensitive to carbs. I do sometimes skip the evening fruit and bread if it's late before I can eat but I almost always have them at lunch. My average loss so far is still .7, sometimes nothing, sometimes like this morning I gained...but I hadn't went...you know....in about a week! Over the weekend, I cheated one time with a blueberry sorbet/raspberry sherbert/lemon no sugar yogurt combo. I attribute this to the 2lb gain but since I lost 4 over the holiday, I'm not freaking out.

ANYWAY - back to the point. I hang my head low....I sheepishly admit I am a carb addict so I do grissini, or cracker or whatever carb within the 23 calorie limit I can find. I am a black sheep, I am not one of the few, the proud, the carb free! I have 4 days left of my 40 day round. I tried to quit at 20 days...I just couldn't do it, I was too afraid of the unknown and was unprepared. I am now fully confident, I can take on the remainder of this week and the 21 low carb days in full force! (Wow - I get sidetracked easy, I flippen started this thread and here I am babbling!) Anyway 24 lbs down, 3 to go in the next few days. I will be ACV'ing it to boost! (YUCK!)

    Yea for grissini!

    Hi Wench,

My first round I thought I could not do P3 w/out a grissini (and they say no melbas, no grissini then) but, I never missed it. Just a note of encouragement from your own species (the carb-i-dos). I still grissini this round but not longer fear the time with no carbs.

Well - you know, we've all come this far right. If I can do anything (p2) for 43 days.... I can go 3 weeks without carbs.... I think being able to eat more protein will help too. What did our mom's always say.... "This too shall pass?" Thanks for the boost! I keep thinking that a 40 day p2 round is about as bad as it gets.... But then I think of doing a 2nd round and though I have had a pretty good experience over all....I have a feeling my 2nd round won't be as disciplined nor as motivated. Guess I will have to take the time to get in the right mind set. I am 34...I now weigh what I did at 19. That's a lot of years I just took off. I'm excited to get to a weight that I surpassed so fast that I don't even remember an age associated with it!! That I guess will be my motivation. :)

So I saw a couple of people wondering where the heck you find the grissini at in the store. FINALLY I found them today. They were by the crackers (bottom shelf where I went) I can't wait to try them. I have been average a 1.4 lb loss everyday and I always eat my carb. I wonder what would happen if I didn't. I am gunna try for a one day of no carb and see. Good luck to all!!
