I remember asking that same question about the almond flour substitute for regular flour and was told no, it's not the same. I've never done the research to figure out how you do it...the big thing is 1 has gluten and the other doesn't.
I saw the Ezekial bread at our local health food store but never at Walmart. It was in the refrigerator section.
I've been doing some 'trial and error' bread making yesterday and today. So far.. I'm able to use almond flour...but I had to add Xanthan Gum too. I'm still tweaking to get the right amount of rise... using baking soda and cream of tarter. I'm also using a small amount of xylitol instead of sugar.
I just posted this in the Releana section b/c that's what I used but, would love some feedback about problems in P4. I lost a total of 60lbs - went from a size 16 to a size 4 - lost a ton of inches off my waist(14") hips (12"" etc)...but, of course the waist area was the indication that there were other issues - high sugar levels (pre diabetic) hormonal imbalance, high cortisol levels - all of which, as of my last drs visit in April (when I stopped the drops) had all been corrected and I was/am healthy again. I haven't weighed myself but, I know that I have put on some weight - my pants are tighter on me. I do not over eat, eat almost no sugar, carbs come mostly from veggies/fruit and occasionally whole wheat products and fats are from olive oil - or natural. So, I'm really at a loss as to what's going on. I also work out pretty vigorously 3 -4 times a week. Now I know I can always do another round but, the goal was to adjust the metabolism (since overeating was never a problem) and, the fact that I know that I have put on weight (and it's around my mid section) is upsetting to me.
