I am going out on a loooong limb, due to my frustration from today. I guess I just want to give us something to think about, something to consider, and a reminder that some people are coming to this forum for support ...JUST LIKE YOU...but are receiving something a lot less positive.

I have a tough shell. I am not talking about myself. I will be ok and I am firm in my beliefs that ALL forms of hcg work if the protocol is followed. But I am witnessing people being raked over the coals at times, and it's really starting to piss me off. Maybe I have missed it, and if so, I apologize, but I have not seen any hhcg'ers ridiculing others for using sublingual, injections, spray, pellets. If it has happened, please give me a thread, because I want to read it, and I will stand corrected. I am not talking about personal attacks in general by those on either side of this issue. That's happening plenty too, but it's another subject that I won't address. I want to see if an hhcg'er has spoken as if all of the others who don't use hhcg are less intelligent, silly, misinformed, buying into a scam. Isn't that what we are all receiving out in the world right now about hcg in general? At work, from friends, from family, from those who don't understand the protocol? The science of it? Does it bother you when you're treated that way, does it hurt? Some are hurt here. I get the whispers, I know.

Ya know, I think I should just shut up about homeopathics after this. Maybe it's just a weird day, but it seems like I have been putting out fires all day, explaining that the rumors and articles that say hhcg is bogus....are actually bogus themselves. Homeopathics have been around since 1779, and were developed by a medical doctor. People sometimes thought he was a little odd, had some odd ideas..........similar to the description of Dr Simeons at one time. Actually many still do ridicule Simeons' plan. Hmmm.

From wholehealthnow.com...this is just a random website that I am not affiliated with, one of hundreds or thousands that explain homeopathics:

    "The Founder of Homeopathy

Homeopathy's roots emerge from the findings, teachings and writings of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). Hahnemann graduated from medical school in 1779 and started his own medical practice. He soon began his first homeopathic experiments in 1790, as a result of his disillusionment with such common medical practices of the day as purging, bloodletting, and the use of toxic chemicals. "

------there's plenty on the web if you want to educate yourself before passing judgment...google it...it's out there.

All of us are using hcg. Yet some of us claim to use REAL hcg, using language that is insulting, or at the very least hinting that the people using it maybe aren't quite as intelligent or informed as they are. This is really silly. All of us are being ridiculed for using hcg and going on such a restricted diet, right? Why should a large number of us then receive additional ridicule and insults from some of those very people who came to this forum for support? Is this not similar to bigotry? (shaking my head) I don't understand how so many who have never used hhcg, have read numerous posts from people who HAVE used it and gone through multiple rounds and then STABILIZED, can sit in such judgment.
THERE ARE VETERANS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM WHO READ YOUR COMMENTS EVERYDAY, as they go on with their lives, thinner and healthier for life.

I agree wholeheartedly with vegg. I am very new to this forum but read it for weeks before signing up. When I first started reading it seemed like a place I would be able to come to for support and advice. However, in the last week or so that feeling has waned. I will be loading this weekend and taking hhcg. It is the choice that is right for me. I would appreciate the same respect that those using other forms of hcg get from the rest of the forum.

Thank you for this, Vegg. It's an overdue message. I have caught myself referring to my hCG as "real" & have been convicted. I now, whenever possible, try to differentiate between the two as "homeopathic" & "RX". If I ever slip & say something to the contrary, I apologize in advance. I don't want to say anything to make another person feel the way you described.

I too have been making a concerted effort to refer to them as hhcg and rx hcg instead of "real" as I have done both and believe in both working very effectively.

Here!! Here!!! I totally agree with both vegglover & JoAnn. I have been using hhcg since June 11th and have been losing 1/2-1lb. per day. This protocol is the best program I have ever been on ~ I am so thankful for Dr. Simeon's diet protocol. IMHO, when following the VLCD properly, hhcg works just as well as injections, sprays, sublingual drops, & all other successful forms of hcg. We should all just be very thankful to have been fortunate enough to have discovered this wonderful protocol. We all finally have something that actually works.

Vegglover ~ I really appreciate your heartfelt comments, & I sincerely hope they prove to be a genuine "heads up" for any posters who may have been guilty of ridicule. Thank you so very much.

Wow guys...I think I missed it. I do stay away from the hhcg threads but only because I have absolutely no experience with it and don't feel comfortable giving advice because of that. That is just wrong for those who use hhcg to be "put down" or not given the same support as any other person, whether it be Rx, cream or whatever form. Support is what this forum is all about.

One thing that is hard on this forum is what you read is what you get...leaves a lot of room for our own interpretation or how those words were meant, no formatting options, etc. I'm just going to hope that's what the issue is here...

the only thing I know about hhcg (and this isn't even from this forum) is that it doesn't always work for everyone. I've actually heard a story of someone that lost well on her first round with it and very poorly her second round. Not sure if she ever tried another form after that. However, those that have used it on this forum are proof that it can work :)

    Vegglover....THANK YOU!

I too am a hhcg user and have had success... I lost 22.4 lbs in 26 days and stabalized in p3 & p4, never did a steak day and am now on my 2nd round of hhcg. I take what the people write with a grain of salt, however, I have noticed some "remarks" lately that actually made me post some facts about homeopathic beliefs on another thread.

Just a couple of lines... can't help myself...

The effects of microdoses have been known for a long time, and there are a number of examples that support the idea that very diluted concentrations of a substance will have a measurable and sometimes profound effect. Scientists call this phenomenon: hormesis.

Our own bodies secrete minute amounts of hormones that have powerful effects. Thyroid hormone is present in our blood at only 1 part per 10 billion-yet this is enough to regulate the rate of our entire metabolism. Many animal studies show that low doses of some substances elicit a beneficial response while high doses are harmful. This phenomenon has been documented to occur with radiation, antibiotics, and heavy metals.

OK, sorry... maybe more then a couple of lines... but gosh... if it is working for someone, why knock it?? Like you said, how many of us get ridiculed for doing this diet??? I can go on and on... and....NO! I don't work for a homeopathic clinic/doctor nor am I one. In fact, this is the first time ever using any type of homeopathic anything....but since it has worked so well...heck, I might just see what else is out there!!

Sorry for such a long post everyone!! Happy losing!
    Thankful People: vegglover

I hope I didn't offend anyone I did hhcg on my first round I just chose for personal belief and needs to do injections this round. I by far will never say hhcg doesn't work because YES it does I lost 22 and then 4 more on maintenance. If hhcg didn't work i would have gained it all back and more I am sure. Is hcg better then hhcg I don't know. I do know for me it is cheaper and it is less to remember. Does it really sculpt more i don't know I have to see for myself. I hope no one has ever felt by my own beliefs or testing that I am ever putting hhcg down. I will put down the company I got mine from but not the product itself.

No worries Moriah.....I don't believe it was you! I don't know which comment Vegglover was referring to, and I can't remember who it was that I kind of went "huh?" to, but it was someone who flat out said that hhcg doesn't work, that it isn't "real" hcg...etc...! They read too many web-sites that I guarantee sell the injections (and make a lot of profit doing so, I'm sure!) Hey, maybe I should post a thread about my beach front property in Arizona..... JK, JK...oh man... did I really write that?

I am really just kidding!! I completely support anybody doing any type of hcg to lose weight and to become a healthier, happier person!! I really do!! :]
