I'm reading about a lot of weight loss through the phases; I would like to know / hear from some people on how long have you keep the weight off. I mean that is the real result that we are looking for? yes!
I'm still working on my own success story lol but I can share my friend's the one who introduced me to HCG. She's in her late 60's and started hcg 2 1/2 years ago. She was about 250lbs and wearing 22W-24W clothes. In 1 1/2 years she lost over 100 lbs and is now wearing a size 8 and has kept it off for a year. She is very happy and feels the best she as in years (also has a new, much younger boyfriend!) She can still enjoy foods in moderation, including pizza, potatoes, cakes and bread. She has actually started making a lot of her stuff at home so that she knows exactly whats in it, but even when she cant, she does amazing! she said last thanksgiving & christmas she only gained a few lbs total and was able to have a little bit of everything-and the 2 lbs came off with a quick protein day. Its very possible to be your own success story-but its also a lifestyle change. She now will have a small slice of pizza with a salad instead of 3 or 4 pieces of pizza.
Fizzy, Hubby and I are 49/39lbs down since Jan. Coming through all the fluctuations and stabilizing (that hasn't been real easy for us, but good behavior modification for sure). Our friends have lost all their weight (70/50lbs) and kept it off for over a year now. Another couple (also close friends) have lost nearly all their weight and easily, totally stabilized and gone on w/life and healthy, but real eating. They are thrilled.
I am on R3P3D5, working to get stable, already excited for next rd in August. I will not have hubby w/me, as he is now thinner than he has been since we married, 26 yrs ago! He is stable and thrilled. I am thrilled w/reshaping too. At 51, it is awesome to have an hourglass shape again; for that matter, a waist again! lol!
thanks for the input.. as in the past I have lost more weight that I can recount, but in the end that weight was waiting around the corner and it found me again. I have put on, and lost; at least another whole person, in the last 10 years. Son any encouragement of longevity is greatly needed .. My body types make it very easy to take weight off, the down side to that is that is comes back as easy! I really interested in reseting process by bodies level of weight. So far I have had an easy time losing some weight; ok the first day I was starving... changed to a smaller dose and thing have become easy.. Want this to be the last time I on a diet..
I am not a success story, but I am back. Hi to everyone from the past.
I have had a very hard time with this diet yet here I am 1 yr after my first attempt and I weigh more than ever before AND I am going to try again! I have been lately busy trying to figure out medical issues that may have been the contributor to my weight gain. I have officially received a food allergy test and have found I am sensitive to Dairy, gluten, peanuts, processed corn and red meat. I also have been diagnosed with low adrenal sooooooo........ I asked my naturopath if I could try this diet again and she said yes. She actually does the diet at her clinic but since I already have everything but an empty vial from the last time I tried this diet and quit she said using my stuff was fine! That makes me feel SOOOO good because that tells me she is not in it to make $$$. The first place I heard of HCG was all about the Benjamin's so I am happy to be somewhere that cares about my health :) So I have not officially started this diet again yet (since I need the empty vial) but I plan on starting soon. I thought this could be help to some people who might have struggled like I did. Grammy, mgsondance, and Linda Lou I think you should remember me and my troubles. I hope this helps you guys as well in helping others :)
I thought I would add that anyone having troubles losing weight while on the diet might try taking out the meat they are eating the most. If you search my username in the search you find all my troubles from when I did this. Mostly I just wasn't losing weight but I was also hungry and had many other issues. I am hoping and guessing the reason may be from my Red meat sensitivity. I was mostly eating bison and ground chicken. I am going to try this diet with Chicken and fish only and see if that makes a difference.
I also am going to try the lower calorie side of the long debate of "eating a lot of calories to reset your metabolism (Grammy pro) or eating normal amount of calories(mgsondance pro) during P3, I think. Since I already tried the eating a lot and gained.
Again I really hope this helps others who might have gone through the same thing as me.
I hear ya tryingtomakeit!! A year ago I was a success story... lost about 60 pounds and then in the fall, life got away on me... yes I gave into my old habits and gained... oh how I hate to say this, but yes, I gained 40 back... (yes I've disappeared from this sight for a year as well) Awwwkkkk!!! I had full intentions of doing some mood/food counseling when I reached my goal but it never happened.. that being said I know people who have kept the weight off and some who haven't... the point is that I REFUSE to give up the battle!! So here I am 20 pounds lighter than my heaviest.... I have to say I have a much better body image then I used to... I don't know what this diet did to my outlook, but even at this weight I have a much better body image than I used to.... and I KNOW I can get the weight off..
