When I ordered my kit from Fran, it came with all the supplies I needed for a 43 day round (looks like she even threw in some extras on several things). I also ordered the 6 wk supply of B12 with the syringes for that. Well, since I mix my B12 with my hCG, I knew those syringes (also insulin size) could be used for the regular hCG injections & I'd just have that many more syringes.

The syringes she provided for the B12 were the individually wrapped Monoject ones. The ones provided for the hCG came in a plastic package with a bunch of syringes inside. The brand name on them appears to be Exel.

I started with the first syringes I grabbed, which were the individually wrapped Monojects. Had ZERO problems with them. Just ran out of those, a couple of days ago, so I opened the first multi-syringe package of the Exel syringes.

PIECES OF CRAP!!!!! More than once, over the past couple of days, I have had a needle bend, while trying to insert it into the rubber cap on the hCG mixing vial to draw my daily dose!! And, today, I was EXTRA-gingerly with it, & managed to withdraw without bending the needle. However, just a little while ago, when I injected (which I have, prior to now, had ZERO issues with), I met with a little resistance, going into my skin. I pushed it in...it still didn't hurt, but when I removed the needle, it had a tiny little hook-shaped bend in the tip (which, I guess, would explain the resistance). These syringes are SO cheap, they aren't even stable enough to go through SKIN!!! Believe me, I am NO hard-body & there is NO reason these needles should be meeting with ANY resistance. They should be going through my fat like a hot knife through butter (which is how easily the Monojects did).

I am going to need to order from Fran again, for future rounds, so I don't want to raise a stink, but I can assure you, I will be getting my syringes elsewhere!! I have never, in my life, seen such flimsy, weak needles!!

Does the package of syringes have a lot number on them?

Nutty...just be EXTRA careful, when pushing the needle through the rubber tip. If you aren't, the needle will bend right in half!

Moriah...that's a good idea...maybe I just got some bad ones. All I know is that EVERY one, out of that package, has been that way. Maybe I should open the other package & see if they are also like that. Yes, I'll definitely contact her.

I'm at work, Nutty, 35 miles away from home. I'll have to check, tonight, & post my findings then.

Thanks, Angela, I'm at work too, I will check mine when I get home - I just remember that name being on mine - there were 2 packs of those, and then 5 of the mono kind also.

Guys - I have found it much more economical to order my HCG and supplies separately. I get my HCG in bulk from India - but I get all my supplies from two locations...

www.gpzservices.com for my syringes, mixing syringes and vials. You can get the superfine insulin syringes (they are 30 gauge).

    www.eastcoastmedicalsupply.com for my bac water.

    Just thought I'd share. Lisanne

I apologize, Nutty, if I spooked you...You should be fine, just mind what I said earlier...be EXTRA careful inserting the needle for your draw from the vial. If you bend your needle even the slightest bit, you're likely to run into problems while injecting. You may as well squirt the hCG back into the vial & start with a new syringe, if that happens. That's probably what happened today. As careful as I was, I probably still bent the needle a teeny bit, while drawing, & when I injected, it just bent it that much more.

The good news is that, even with the bend, it STILL didn't hurt any more than usual, but, frankly, as flimsy as they are, I'm scared they might break, while injecting. I am having to be extra, extra careful with these. I didn't have to do that, with the Monojects.

I'd rather use a higher gauge & be confident my needle isn't going to bend or break, to be honest with you. Wish I hadn't already put the monojects in the sharps container (lid can't be removed). I'd love to see if they are the same gauge. They just seemed so much "sturdier".
