Just thought some of you out there might be just beginning like me! This is day 3, after the load! Thought it might be nice to have people to share, support and celebrate the journey with!
I just got a "shipped" notice from Fran's site and I'm so ready to start! As long as everything gets here in time, I'm planning to start loading on Thursday (Friday is my birthday and will be my last hurrah before VLCD). I've been reading and absorbing information here for a while now and I'm ready to take the plunge!
Hi, Welcome! I am starting shots and loading tomorrow (Sat). I have been lurking on the site for a while, and there is an enormous wealth of information and support here. Good luck to us all!
I'm also a bit new... been following the website & forums, reading & absorbing info, input, etc... and found a lot of great, interesting & helpful stuff! I'm on day 9 of my first phase and so far, down 17 lbs!!
Found it a bit hard & frustrating to watch EVERYTHING and the ingredients that I'm ingesting, but overall, I can't complain and think it is totally worth it. The longer you do it, stick to it and get used to it, the easier and more natural it becomes. Not only do I feel great and a LOT happier & healthier, but I'm also starting to look a lot better.
Of course, this takes more than just a diet to fix. It takes a lot of mental will-power and re-training yourself to make healthier choices in lifestyle and eating habbits. I'm scared to hit a "plateau", as I know that will probobly come at some point, but patience is going to have to fit in somewhere, too. I don't think I am consuming enough water, though. Has anyone noticed that the more water/tea you drink, the more significant the weight loss is? I can't complain with where I am at and how it is going, but I have never consumed very much liquid on a regular basis and often forget that I need more now as I'm maintaining this diet. So I'm wondering if I increased my water intake quite a bit, if my results wouldn't improve, also??
It's nice to see others that are new here, too. Look forward to reading & chatting more! :)
A couple of months ago, loading sounded like so much fun, but I am really having trouble getting the food down. I am following some suggestions to take a lot of flax and fish oil capsules, so I hope that they will save me. Of course, they may be the reason I am feeling so full in the first place...lol!
Hi all! I'm new here too. I just started the VLCD today and I must say I did get pretty hungry before lunch and dinner. I'm going to have to learn what eating schedule is going to work best for me. I started using the hhCG from GNC without realizing it has alcohol in it, so I had a really hard time leaving it under my tongue for the recommended time. I switched to a non-alcohol based hhCG today and it was much better! I'm excited that I finally got started and comitted to this diet. I'm leaving for the beach on Aug 14th so I want to lose as much weight as I can before we leave and then do p3 on vacation. I don't think that will be difficult for me since me and my boyfriend ususally eat a low carb diet anyway.
I'm new too. I'm on day 22 now. I totally lost 6 days around the 4th but have still done well enough to not be discouraged. So far everyone I've had the privilege of "meeting" on here has been amazing. There is lots of support and motivation.
I'm on P2VLCD1. The 2 load days were aweful for me. I hated being full ALL day and I didn't gain a pound. Oh well. I'm so happy to not be shoving food down my throat today and I'm not hungry so far. My goal is 30lbs. What are your goals?
vlcd2 - I lost over 5 pounds! Thank heavens, I was afraid that it wouldn't work for me. I'm not feeling particularly hungry, just little twinges when something reminds me of things I like to eat.
Carimel, my goals are 1) just stick with the program the whole round. No intentional food cheats. 2) change my relationship with food 3) when I stabilize, to keep eating healthy and maintain an as yet to be determined healthy weight!
