Why is an apple day so bad after a cheat? I was thinking of doing it myself. I haven't had major cheats...just fruit (figs and raisins) when I've had a sweet tooth, but enough to put me over my calorie limit.

Because it further disrupts the protocol balance. It's only good for water weight anyway and 9 times out of 10, that water weight is regained the next day. :-( Even if it didn't put you over the calorie limit, those fruits will derail your loss really fast. :-( This is not a diet. It's not forgiving at all. even 20 calories of the wrong thing will stall you out.

No what is the recourse? Apple day? skip a meal?

Get back on the protocol and let by-gones be by-gones. And don't do it again. That's all you can do.

Anon - A lot of people say skipping fruits the day after a cheat helps. I personally don't know what helps...I'm like one of those people described in P&I, "almost anything edible is crammed down with terrifying speed and ferocity....and it is a frightening, ugly spectacle to behold" :(
